Responsible AI
Copilot is delivered via Microsoft Cloud with Responsible AI
as a core principle: data is not shared to OpenAI.

Your data is YOURS. No one sees or handles

it without your express permission.

Your use of Copilot remains private. Nothing you do

is used to update the model.

Customer data is not used to train Large Language Models.

User Engagement with Copilots is not used

to improve models across tenants.

You can find the learning path on Microsoft Learn or

directly at https://aka.ms/CopilotSolutions.

To take advantage of all the AI powered Copilot

capabilities in the Power Platform, you will need to
have a Power Platform environment that is suited
specifically for the use of Copilot.

Be sure to go watch April Dunnam’s video Power

Platform Copilot Environment Setup which walks
you through how to get properly setup.
Check out Copilot

In order to test out Copilots you need to have the

following:

• Microsoft 365 E3, E5 or business premium licenses

• Power Platform Premium licenses

To test and check out:

• Microsoft Developer Trial (90 days, renews with

usage)

• Power Platform Trial (30 days, usually three times)

Fundamentals of crafting prompts
in Power Automate

Design the Be declarative Plan to verify,

flow first test, and edit
Design the flow first

Starting from a blank slate is

tough. Our examples are
there for inspiration, but the
best results come from a very
specific prompt.
Design the flow first
 Think about the exact sequence
of steps that needs to happen.
Drawing it out can help!

 Figure out if your flow has any

variables, conditions, and/or
branches

 Write a narrative using if/then

statements for conditional
branching.
Design the flow first

“Create an approval flow for intake requests and notify the requestor of the
result.”

VERSUS

“When I receive a response to my Intake Request form, start and wait for a
new approval. If approved, notify the requestor saying so. Likewise if the
approval is denied.”
Be declarative
The model works best if it doesn’t
need to guess what tools you want
to use.

Example:
“Notification” is unclear,
“email” is not.

For now, specific values work

better than vague pointers: A
specific email address is better
than “head of marketing.”
