ESTABLISHING NATURAL DYES CENTER TO STRENGTHEN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY
Par tnership of DOST- PTRI and Natural Craf ts Connection Enter pr ise
aims to estab lish and operationalize a commercial NatDyes
produc tions and dyeing facility that will cater to the needs of the
textiles industr y in terms of making available natural dyes tuf fs an
naturally dyed products . The fac ility is envisioned to be the key
par tner of the local handloom weaver s , textile dyeing fac ilities ,
textile manufac turers, fashion designer s , and ar tists in fully
penetrating the g lobal mar ket of naturally dyed products
DIWATA 2 - was successfully deployed into 600 km SSO orbit on 29 October 2018 and carries
the same optical cameras for scientific earth observation found in Diwata 11. It has since
captured 32, 256 images around the world, 19,439 of which of the Philippines. 82.01% of the
Philippine geographic area was covered by Diwata 2.
