To Summarise: (How to read notes easily)
1. Memorise the E’s and F’s. These are your Landmark
Notes.
2. Look at a note and determine if it is a Line note or a
Space note.
3. Use the letters of the corresponding Skips Alphabet to
count up the notes until you get to the note you’re trying
to read.
New song to take home!
Some helpful questions!
1. Can you practise clapping the rhythm before you play it on the guitar?
2. Are there any two lines in this song that have the exact same rhythm?
• If so, put a star next to those two lines.
3. When finding notes, ask yourself two questions:
• What string do I find this note on?
• What fret do I need to use to play it?
4. How many times can you play this song with no mistakes?
• Aim for at least 8 times!
5. Practise small sections first! Try practising from the end of the song,
and then work backwards.
Thanks for playing!
• Next week’s goals:
• Learning to play scales!
• Learning to play some MORE rhythms
