BEHAVIOR AND STANDARDS IN THE UNIVERSUM INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE

Disrupting the learning process and using mobile phones and 'smart devices':

During lectures and exercise hours, food is strictly prohibited, whispers that hinder classroom work and mobile
phone use. At the same time, mobile phones should be turned off or put on silent and not used during lectures
or exercises. The use of any form of electronic devices is considered an infringement, so the disciplinary measures
of Universum College will be applied as provided in the Student's Handbook. These measures may also result in
student departure.

Some rules to follow:

1. At the beginning of the lecture, all mobile phones should be turned off or put on silent.
2. If the student is waiting for an urgent call, he/she should inform the lecturer of
the subject.
3. If the student is observed using a cell phone or other electronic device, he/she will be given one and only
one warning
4. If the student repeats the use of the cell phone, he/she will be reported and disciplinary measures will be
taken according to the Student's Manual.

Academic Honesty and Integrity Assurance

One of the signs that the material of the subject is properly understood is honesty while performing tasks. Lack
of academic integrity (including plagiarism, copying another person's work, using unauthorized help in exams,
cheating, etc.) will not be tolerated. If there are doubts about the authenticity of the work presented, the lecturer
has the right to ask the student to verify his/her work. This can be done through: repetition of the work, written
or oral testing, unexpected quiz or any other action deemed necessary by the lecturer. If the student fails to
prove the truthfulness of the work, the lecturer will apply the rules of academic misconduct which are mentioned
in the Student Handbook of Universum College.

Students should avoid acts involving academic dishonesty or misconduct involving:

● Plagiarism: presenting someone else's ideas, words, or artistic, scientific or technical work as your own
creation. Also, paraphrasing or summarizing as direct quote is considered plagiarism if the original source is
not properly quoted. Students are encouraged to consult with the lecturer if they have any questions about
the way they present the references.
● Cheating through copies
● Help in cheating or cheating
● Replacing another student in taking an exam
● Presenting the same job for more than one course/subject
● Presenting works or tasks written by others as if they are your own works
● Receiving or providing unauthorized assistance in any academic work or assignment
● Intentional violation of the requirements and program regulations established by the College
● Dishonest reporting of accounting, statistical, experimental and research results
● Use of any type of electronic device as a means of fraud

Note: All written works must be submitted via the platform Akademia.al to prevent plagiarizing.
