3. Disassembly and Reassemble


This section of the service manual describes the disassembly and reassembly procedures for the LED TV.

1. Disconnect the LED TV from the power source before disassembly.


2. Follow these directions carefully.
−− Use the Samsung Service tool to disassemble the cabinet.
• Recommend to use the Samsung Service tool
CAUTION
−− Recommended Torque for Cabinet/Stand screws : 10 ~ 12kgf.
• A strength of Torque can be changed depending on the situation.

3-1. TV Disassembly

1 Remove Power cord and connections and place the


TV down onto a protected surface.

3 Insert the Open Jig completely into the tab of the


rear cover’s left side bottom corner and following Jig Direction 3
directions 1→2→3.

4 Gently lift up the rear cover from the middle to


prevent inside clips damaged.

NOTE
• Straighten ALL Locking Wires before
reattaching cover.

5 Remove the ASSY COVER P-REAR.

8 Remove the ASSY PCB MAIN.


• Gently lift up (Top Right corner) to release the
lock.
• Use both hands to hold the board and slide to
the left to release the board.

NOTE
• When installing the Main board, verify
the board is properly positioned in all 4
mounting slots.

Discharge Capacitors

• 43 inches

You have to discharge the SMPS by using service


JIG across leads of Large Capacitors as pictured
below.
If LED ON -> LED OFF, Discharge is completed.
Then verify voltage is less than 10Vdc across leads Measurement point
with Volt Meter.

You have to discharge the SMPS by using service


JIG across leads of Large Capacitors as pictured
below. Measurement point
If LED ON -> LED OFF, Discharge is completed.
Then verify voltage is less than 10Vdc across leads
with Volt Meter.

If LED ON -> LED OFF, Discharge is completed.

10 Remove the SMPS.

1. Push and hold down BLU connector tab to


release it’s panel lock connection.

2. Lift to release the lock tab on upper left side of


Board. (Step 4 will assist)

3. Locate a notch in insulation sheet. (not all


models)

10 4. Use Open Jig in notch to help release &


smoothly slide SMPS to the Right. (While
pushing BLU Tab & Releasing Lock Tab)

5. Gently lift the 1 edge to unlock the SMPS


board.
Lift up (2EA)

Fixing Hole

Remove the board by holding it with both


hands and sliding it to the Right ( ).

Slide to the right to release the board

11 Completed the disassembly.

NOTE
Reassembly procedures are in the reverse order of disassembly procedures.
