SETTING UP A COMPUTER BUSINESS CENTRE Bright SIT College

Our Business Model

*Provide IT education to everyone in less price compare to other

sierra Leone’s colleges.*

OBJECTIVES
 identify major inputs to a business unit
 identify various components of capital required for a College
 estimate the profits of a College
 learn various sources of help and finance for setting up a College
 adopt good business practices required for an entrepreneur
INPUTS TO A BUSINESS

The important inputs to a business are:-

Will Power

Place

Capital

Finance

Will Power

This is the first and the foremost input required for setting up a business unit. You
must make up your mind well before starting any business, as business involves
risk. A per- son who wants to set up a business either in trade or industry is called
an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur makes best use of the available machinery,
manpower and money for producing goods or service. A unit set up by an
entrepreneur is called an enterprise. CBC is also an enterprise which provides
services to others.

Place

Place for a College unit involves generally a 2 classroom, Front office, Machine
room of the minimum size of 1700 sq. meter. The space should be sufficient for
installing computer and accessories, office space and space for visitors. The space
may be your own or rented. For a College unit, it is better if the place is near to a
commercial complex or government offices. The office space must have electricity
and water connection.

Capital

Once you decide on the place of your business, you require money. Money
invested in the business is called Capital. Two types of capital are required: Capital
is fixed when it involves procuring land, building, equipment, machinery, vehicles,
furniture and fixtures, etc. Working capital is required for meeting day to day
expenses of an enterprise. These include purchase of raw material, stationery,
payment of bills like water, electricity, telephone, wages of staff/laborer and
traveling/conveyance charges.

Fixed capital

Fixed capital generally remains constant over a longer period and is required only
in the beginning stage. On the other hand, working capital is required frequently.
It is implied that after sometime money starts coming out of the business and
thus working capital is met out of the turnover.

Working Capital

Working capital is required for purchase of raw material (like paper, cartridges,
flop- pies, CDs, etc.), for making payments to staff, electricity and telephone bills,
convey- acne and travel, etc. In College business the returns are quick and
generally turnover starts within a month. It is estimated that the working capital
of 1000 $ is sufficient for a month.

In the table below, we have given a model for working out the fixed capital,
working capital and expected profit. Please note that the estimate below is only
an illustration. Keeping in view your specific requirement, you have to make your
own budget

For a basic College the fixed capital involves the following equipment and
furniture.

Marketing strategy

Marketing strategy has the fundamental goal of increasing sales and

achieving a sustainable advantage. Marketing strategy includes all
basic, short-term, and long-term activities in the field of marketing that
deal with the analysis of the strategic initial situation of a company and
the formulation, evaluation and selection of market-oriented strategies
and therefore contribute to the goals of the company and its marketing
objectives

 Projection of admission 2020

APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC JAN
25 30 50 50 50 50 50 25 25 50

Based on this table we are taking admission of 425 students first year. We are
very much sure in one year we will start getting profit and the table is showing
minimum admission.

If we chase 400 students total we will generate total revenue of

70$*400=28000$ every month. Then we have to work on strength and quality
for more admission.

We are very much sure that this idea to work as team will be beneficial for all
the parties.

Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures Course Outline

Course Description

This class will immerse the students into an interactive environment where
they will be shown how to scan, test, hack and secure their own systems.
The lab intensive environment gives each student in-depth knowledge and
practical experience with the current essential security systems. Students
will begin by understanding how perimeter defenses work and then be lead
into scanning and attacking their own networks, no real network is harmed.
Students then learn how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can
be taken to secure a system. Students will also learn about Intrusion
Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDoS Attacks, Buffer
Overflows and Virus Creation. When a student leaves this intensive 5 day
class they will have hands on understanding and experience in Ethical
Hacking. This course prepares you for EC-Council ANSI accredited
Certified Ethical Hacker exam 312-50.

Certification

The Certified Ethical Hacker exam 312-50 may be taken on the last day of
the training (optional). Students need to pass the online Prometric/VUE
exam to receive CEH certification.

Legal Agreement

Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures course mission is to educate,

introduce and demonstrate hacking tools for penetration testing purposes
only. Prior to attending this course, you will be asked to sign an agreement
stating that you will not use the newly acquired skills for illegal or malicious
attacks and you will not use such tools in an attempt to compromise any
computer system, and to indemnify EC-Council with respect to the use or
misuse of these tools, regardless of intent.

Not anyone can be a student — the Accredited Training Centers (ATC) will
