Basic Information

1. Organizer: Research and Achievement Department, Student Executive Board of the


Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University.
2. Theme: Navigating the Transformational Healthcare Landscape in the Era of Society
5.0: Challenges, Opportunities, and Innovations.
3. Sub-theme:
a. Healthcare equity

4. Competition categories: Paper and Infographic.
5. Every participant will receive an e-certificate and have the opportunity to take part in
the webinar.
6. Participants must join every series of events in the ‘Public Health International
Competition’ (PHIC) to claim the certificate. (Finalists are required to join the webinar
and awarding session).
7. Every participant must follow PHIC’s Instagram account @phicunair for further
information regarding the competition.
8. Every participant must upload posters of all PHIC competition categories via
Instagram feed and Instagram story, and tag the account of @phicunair
9. Every participant must upload PHIC’s twibbon via Instagram feed and tag the account
of @phicunair
10. Winner categories
The winner of the PAPER category will earn the following:
1st place : USD 200 / Rp 3.200.000 + gold medal + e-certificate
2nd place : USD 150 / Rp 2.400. 000 + silver medal + e-certificate
3rd place : USD 100 / Rp 1.600.000 + bronze medal + e-certificate
The winner of the INFOGRAPHIC categories will earn the
following: 1st place : USD 150/Rp 2.400.000 + gold medal +
e-certificate 2nd place : USD 120/Rp 1.920.000 + silver medal +
e- certificate 3rd place : USD 90/Rp 1.440.000 + bronze medal +
e-certificate
11. Participants who can enter the final round are the 10 best teams in each category of
competition based on the judges' assessment. Kindly check the booklet of each
competition (paper and infographic).

Hybrid Mechanism

PHIC 2024 will be held hybrid. For those who are coming from universities or
schools in Indonesia, they are supposed to take the grand final stage, webinar, and
awarding offline and for those who are not, they are supposed to take the grand final,
webinar, and awarding either online or offline.
For all the finalists (counting each person, not as a team) who are required to take
this competition offline, must invest USD 23 worth IDR 368.000 for the facilities given
(transportation, living allowance, foods).All the finalists will be reached by their LO
(Liaison Officer) and help you throughout the events, starting from the Technical Meeting
until the Awarding Session.

Artwork Submission

1. All content in the work must be in English.


2. All files from the Public Health International Competition are submitted in PDF
format and collected in one file with the name:
Name of the Leader_Agency/Institution_Competition Category_Tittle of
Work (Example: Annisa Nabila_UNAIR_Infographic_Health Services)

5. If participating in a group, the artwork is sent by only one representative to the email
above.
6. Late submissions will not be tolerated and graded by the judges.
7. Artwork submission is allowed once only. The committee did not accept the
submitted work revision for ANY reason.
8. All fraud in this competition will result in reduced scoring and disqualification.
9. The decision of the jury is final and inviolable.
10. If there are changes or additions, the provisions and other information that have not
been listed above will be regulated by the committee at a later date.
General Terms and Conditions

1. All artworks must be originally made and according to the theme and sub-theme.
2. If there is proof of plagiarism, participants will be immediately disqualified and the
registration fee will not be returned.
3. All artworks must be written in English.
4. All artworks must not be submitted ever in another competition be it the past or
present.
5. Participants are only allowed to submit their artwork once.
6. Mistakes by the negligence of participants will not be tolerated.
7. All artworks must not contain any racial slurs and curse words or specific views of
certain politics and or groups.
8. All decisions made by the judges are final and absolute therefore unalterable.

Term and Condition: Paper Competition

1. Participants eligible to participate in the paper competition are university students


(either bachelor's degree or associate’s degree), evidenced by a scan of the student
identity card.
2. Participants in the paper competition should be in teams of two (2) or three (3) from
the same agency/institution. The number of teams includes the leader.
3. Paper can represent ideas that are innovative, creative, and solutions regarding the
specified theme and sub-theme.
4. The paper is original (no plagiarism detected) and has never won in other similar
competitions.
5. The paper is objective and supported by facts.
6. The paper can be in the form of a literature review or research.
7. All content in the work must be in English.
8. All types of papers are allowed as long as it does not violate any rules and laws.

10. Paper format is as follows:
a. File name: Full name of the Leader_Agency/Institution_Paper
Title (Example: Aulia Nadira _UI_Paper_Health Services)
b. Font: Times New Roman size 12
c. Margin: 2,5 cm on all sides; justify
d. Line Spacing: 1
e. Paper Size: A4
11. Aspects of the paper assessment (40%) are;
a. Idea (25%): creativity, feasibility implementation
b. Script format (10%): writing, language, format compatibility
c. Resources (5%): resources suitability, information accuracy
The remaining 60% will be calculated from the presentation in the final.
12. The paper must be written about 12-15 pages (excluding cover, scan of the letter of
originality, and table of contents, figures, tables, and attachments).
13. The number of pages that don’t match the maximum requirement will affect the
scoring.
14. Paperwork must be made typed and submitted in PDF Format with the name:
Name of the Leader_Agency/Institution_ Competition Category_Tittle of
Work (Example: Aulia Nadira _UI_Paper_Health Services).

18. Full paper selection and judging will be selected for the 10 best paperwork to follow
the grand final. In this grand final will be selected the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Terms and Conditions: Infographic

1. Participants eligible to participate in the infographic competition are senior high


schoolers and undergraduate students, proven by student ID cards.
2. Participants in the infographic competition can register individually or in teams of
two (2), coming from the same institution.
3. Participants must use digital illustrations.
4. Participants are allowed to use software or applications (such as Corel Draw,
Photoshop, Canva, etc) as long as it does not violate copyright laws.
5. Participants are allowed to use any style of illustration.
6. Illustration format: A3 (42 X 29,7 cm), resolution 300 dpi or more.
7. The work must include the PHIC’s logo and it is allowed to include a logo/name of
the agency/institution.

8. Participants are required to make a description of the contents of the infographic on
one A4 size page, with the format: Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5, (left
margin 4 cm, right 3 cm, top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm), and accompanied by Harvard style
references.
9. All content in the work must be in English.
10. Aspects of the paper assessment (40%) are
a. Content (15%): originality, suitability of themes, content (informative, actual,
and accurate), grammar, and tenses.
b. Visualization (25%): clarity of fonts (size, type, color), illustration of images
and graphics, color selection, and layout.
The remaining 60% will be calculated from the presentation in the final.
11. Infographic must be merged with Infographic's Description and submitted in PDF
format: Name of the Leader_Agency/Institution _Competition Category_Tittle of
Work
(Example: Annisa Nabila_UNAIR_Infographics_Health Services)
