 5 S is a system for organizing spaces so work can be
performed efficiently, effectively, and safely.

 This system focuses on putting everything where it


belongs and keeping the workplace clean, which
makes it easier for people to do their jobs without
wasting time or risking injury.

 No Needed e.g. expired medicine

 Needed but not now e.g. blanket

Sorting
 Eliminate all unnecessary tools, parts, and
instructions.
 Keep only essential items and eliminate what is not
required.
 Prioritizing things per requirements and keeping them
in easily-accessible places.
 Everything else is stored or discarded.
