THE EDHI FOUNDATION IS A NON-PROFIT SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION BASED IN PAKISTAN. IT WAS FOUNDED BY ABDUL SATTAR EDHI IN 1951,
WHO SERVED AS THE HEAD OF THE ORGANIZATION UNTIL HIS DEATH ON 8 JULY 2016. THE EDHI FOUNDATION PROVIDES 24-HOUR EMERGENCY
ASSISTANCE ACROSS THE ENTIRETY OF PAKISTAN AND INTERNATIONALLY. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES, AMONG MANY OTHER SERVICES, SHELTER FOR
THE DESTITUTE, HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL CARE, DRUG REHABILITATION SERVICES, AND NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RELIEF EFFORTS.

THE FOUNDATION HAS APPROACHED IVY COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES WITH A REQUEST TO CONDUCT AN EVENT FACILITATING PHILANTHROPIC
TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES FOR 15 EMPLOYEES. THEY HAVE REQUESTED THE EVENT TO BE PLANNED, ORGANIZED, AND EXECUTED WITHIN TWO
WEEKS. STAYING TRUE TO OUR UNIVERSITY’S PROMISE OF DELIVERING “EDUCATION BEYOND BORDERS” THE HEAD OF THE INSTITUTE HAS ASKED THE

UNIVERSITY’S PARTNERSHIPS ENGAGEMENT TEAM TO HEAD THIS EVENT AND FORMULATE AN INTERNAL TEAM TO START PLANNING FOR THE EVENT.
YOU HAVE TO DECIDE THE VENUE FOR THE EVENT WHICH WILL BE SPANNED ON TWO DAYS WITH 5 WORKING HOURS IN EACH DAY. AS AN HND
COMPUTING STUDENT, YOU WILL BE ONE OF THE TRAINERS DESIGNING AND DELIVERING THE TRAINING SESSIONS.

SECTION 1 – GUIDANCE

THE HEAD OF IVY COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES PARTNERSHIP ENGAGEMENT TEAM HAS ASKED YOU TO SUBMIT AND PRESENT A FORMAL
PLAN AND TRAINING COLLATERAL THAT WILL BE USED FOR THE EVENT. YOUR PLAN SHOULD BE COMPREHENSIVE AND SHOULD INCLUDE PROPER TIME
MANAGEMENT FOR TRAINING ACTIVITIES AND CONTINGENCIES, RESOURCE ALLOCATION, AND A FORMAL TRAINING OUTLINE FOR THE TOPICS TO BE
COVERED, ALONG WITH THEIR TIMELINES AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING EVIDENCE FOR SECTION 1:

RESEARCH ON THE BACKGROUND OF THE TARGET AUDIENCE I.E. EDHI FOUNDATION


A LIST OF TOPICS TO BE COVERED AND A TRAINING OUTLINE CLEARLY STATING THE TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES THAT ARE BEST SUITED TO THE TRAINING
EVENT FOR THE TARGET AUDIENCE. YOU SHOULD PROVIDE A PROPER JUSTIFICATION FOR YOUR CHOICE OF TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR THE TRAINEES
OF EDHI FOUNDATION AND WHY YOU FIND THESE BEST SUITABLE FOR YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE.

TRAINING COLLATERAL FOR YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE MAY INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO A DOCUMENT STATING THE KEYWORDS AND THEIR
MEANING THAT WILL BE USED THROUGHOUT THE TRAINING EVENT, SHOWING THAT YOU CAN DELIVER A TRAINING EVENT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE EDHI
FOUNDATION.

A FORMAL REQUEST LETTER TO YOUR MANAGER FOR THE FORMATION OF A TEAM, INCLUDING THE TEAM MEMBERS’ DETAILS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND
BRIEF PROJECT DETAILS.

A PROFESSIONAL PROJECT PLAN (SCHEDULE) USING AN APPROPRIATE FORMAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOL WITH THE USE OF TIMELINES. THIS WILL
INCLUDE CONTINGENCIES AND JUSTIFICATION OF THE TIME ALLOCATED FOR THE PROJECT.

A TRAINING OUTLINE IS COVERING THE TRAINING CONTENTS WITH ALLOCATED TIMELINES AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES, WHICH CAN EVALUATE THE
EFFECTIVENESS AND APPLICATION OF INTERPERSONAL SKILLS WHICH ARE NEEDED FOR THE DESIGN AND DELIVERY OF THE TRAINING EVENT FOR THE
EDHI FOUNDATION.
YOU SHOULD REVIEW THE DIFFERENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND INCLUDE A SECTION IN YOUR REPORT THAT EVALUATES THE USE AND EFFECTIVENESS
OF ALL INTERPERSONAL SKILLS USED DURING THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A TRAINING EVENT AND WHICH SET OF INTERPERSONAL SKILLS DO
YOU FIND BEST SUITABLE FOR YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE, FOR EXAMPLE, HARD SKILLS OR SOFT SKILLS ETC. AND A JUSTIFICATION OF WHY YOU FIND THE
CHOSEN SET OF SKILLS IMPORTANT FOR THE CHILDREN WHEN USING IT SKILLS.

SECTION 2 – GUIDANCE
YOU MUST RESEARCH AND DEVELOP YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF DIFFERENT PROBLEM-SOLVING TECHNIQUES AND THEIR IMPORTANCE IN PLANNING
AND RUNNING AN EVENT.
YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED SOME ISSUES AND CONCERNS WHILE EXECUTING THE EVENT AS PER PLAN, WHICH MAY INCLUDE RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND
RESOURCES ALLOTTED TO THE TRAINING SESSION. YOU SHOULD DOCUMENT EACH PROBLEM CONCERNING ITS OCCURRENCE AND HOW YOU WILL
ANALYSE THEM, COME UP WITH A SOLUTION USING DIFFERENT PROBLEM-SOLVING TECHNIQUES THAT YOU HAVE RESEARCHED WITH AN EXPLANATION
OF YOUR CHOSEN PROBLEM-SOLVING TECHNIQUE. YOU SHOULD JUSTIFY THE SOLUTION METHODOLOGIES USED DURING YOUR EVENT AND INCLUDE A
CRITIQUE OF THE APPLICATION OF CRITICAL REASONING AND YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH THESE METHODOLOGIES.

SECTION 3- GUIDANCE

SINCE YOU WILL BE WORKING IN A TEAM, THEREFORE, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO UNDERSTAND THE DEFINED ROLE OF TEAM DYNAMICS WITHIN THE TEAM. YOU
ARE REQUIRED TO EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANCE OF TEAMWORK AND ITS DYNAMICS, THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR WHILE WORKING
WITHIN A TEAM. YOU SHOULD DETAIL YOUR TEAM AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH ACTIVITY OF THE EVENT DISCUSSING THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF
EACH TEAM MEMBER AND HOW EACH ROLE CONTRIBUTES TO THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SUCCESS /FAILURE AS A SHARED GOAL FOR THE TEAM.

IMPORTANCE OF CPD, LEADING TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF YOUR CPD NEEDS AND THE ACTIONS THAT WILL HELP YOU TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS. YOU
