Climate-smart agriculture is a comprehensive strategy ‫خطة شاملة‬

for managing farmlands ‫ادارة االراضى الزراعية‬, crops ‫ المحاصيل‬,

livestock ‫ المواشى‬, and forests that counteracts ‫ تواجه‬the negative
impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity.
It is related to the fourth agricultural generation that

ICT = Information and Communication Technologies

Disadvantages of Smart Agriculture
IOT = Internet of Things
The Internet of Things, or IoT, is
a network of physical devices.
These devices can transfer data
to one another without human
intervention. IoT devices are
not limited to computers or
machinery. The Internet of
Things can include anything
with a sensor that is assigned a
unique identifier (UID).
Smart Irrigation System
✓ Unlike traditional irrigation controllers that operate on a preset
programmed schedule and timers, smart irrigation controllers monitor
weather, soil conditions, evaporation, and plant water use to automatically
adjust the watering schedule to the actual conditions of the site.

✓ This system includes a soil

moisture sensor placed in the
root zone of the plant, a
temperature sensor, and a
water flow sensor connected to
the valve of the water pumping
motor.
Mobile Operated Water Pump Starter is used to control and
monitor electric motors, agriculture pumps, etc, through mobile
phones using GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications)
technology.
The GSM-powered remote controller is used to switch ON and OFF electric devices from
remote locations.

Smart Irrigation System

This wireless GSM remote controller helps the farmer handle agricultural pump sets easily.

It also helps the farmer to irrigate the crops on a proper schedule.

This automated system helps farmers save lives from snake bites at nighttime and saves
Smart agriculture drone
Drone components
Drone ‫ طائرة بدون طيار‬is defined as a remotely piloted aircraft
controlled by a human operator via a radio link or with
various levels of autonomy achieved by using autopilot
technology
➢ Crop monitoring has become a simple task with the emergence of
drone-based data collection, replacing the traditional labor-intensive
and time-consuming data collection.
➢ Performs variety of agricultural tasks including soil health
monitoring, seed planting, fertilizer application, crop stress
management, irrigation schedule planning, weed management, crop
yield management, and weather analysis.
➢ Spraying drones can help to reduce operator exposure while also
improving the capacity to distribute chemicals in a timely and
spatially resolved manner.
SMART GREENHOUSE
What is a smart greenhouse?
✓ It is a regular greenhouse that is equipped with sensors
that optimize plant growth by regulating heat, humidity,
and light.
✓ This allows the crops that are being grown to reach the
harvesting stage faster while retaining as many nutrients as
possible.
The use of artificial intelligence in livestock
farms?
Smart Livestock Monitoring
➢ Smart livestock monitoring and management system is a management solution using
intelligent technology for the automatic management and monitoring of livestock which
can improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of meat.

➢ It detects sick cows before humans. They allow

you to save time and money by catching and
treating a sick cow before she starts showing
symptoms. Reduced health issues, continuously
monitor eating activity, rumination patterns, and
inactive behavior
