Guided Reading

Level E
Comprehension Passages
with Text-Based Questions

By Anne Gardner
This reading comprehension packet is designed to help kids work
toward the goals of reading Level E text and answering text-based
questions.

I am finding that, with guided practice, kids quickly develop the

skills they need to be successful reading these passages and
answering the multiple choice and written response questions. I
have developed a few routines to help kids learn to answer multiple
choice questions and am offering these routines as part of a free
product at my shop.

This packet includes fifteen passages and four text-based multiple

choice questions for each passage. One page of written response
questions has been added (on 7/27/2016) for each passage.

If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

My e-mail address is: [email protected] and I would love
to hear from you! Many thanks for your purchase.

Sincerely, Anne Gardner (NBCT, Literacy)

* I currently have Reading Comprehension Passages listed for
Guided Reading Levels C, D, E, F, G/H, I/J, K/L and M/N.
