Since the beginning of my academic career, mathematical problem-solvings has been a
significant source of intrigue for me regarding problem-solving. This interest motivated my
pursuit of pure and applied mathematics at Al-Mustansiriyah University in Baghdad, Iraq, for my undergraduate and master's degrees. During my studies, I learned about the complex field of mechanical engineering, especially scheduling and optimization issues. I researched these topics furthermore, looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge, because I was fascinated by their importance in developing technology solutions fascinated me. When I moved to the United States, I seized jumped at an opportunity to become an engineering and mathematics department professor at St. Philip's College. One memorable experience that stood out was constructing a practical project where students used mathematical ideas to optimize machine scheduling in an industrial scenario. Seeing their newly acquired knowledge and excitement rekindled my passion for collaborative problem-solving. I honed my curricular design abilities by teaching mathematics courses and interacting with different learning modalities. Using modern technologies like Canvas, WebAssign (Cengage), and Pearson Platform, I developed interactive learning experiences that adjusted to my students' different requirements and learning styles. I plan to continue my mechanical engineering studies by focusing on optimization techniques and operation research. As a future mMechanical eEngineering Ph.D. candidate, I aim to apply statistical methods to solve complex optimization problems. My main goal is to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration while developing original strategies that increase output and efficiency in work environments. I appreciate my priceless experiences working with renowned professors, devoted coworkers, and outstanding students. These experiences have increasedmproved my knowledge of academic rigors and , and I now have a deeper awareness of the symbiotic relationship between engineering theory and practice. I strongly desire to pursue a doctoral program under the mentorship guidance of the great Professor Dr. Omar Abbaas as my mentor. My academic journey has reinforced my commitment to this field of research, practical application, and innovation has been reinforced by my academic journey so far. I am grateful for the opportunity to be considered for admission to your esteemed university's Ph.D. program. I am enthusiastic about embarking on a new project and eager to contribute my knowledge, interest, and dedication to advancing mechanical engineering and its real-life implications in this transformative experience.
