DEBATE PROPER
Are you ready everyone? Let me hear the students from the:
College of Architecture
College of Business Administration
College of Arts & Sciences and Education
College of Computer Science
College of Engineering
and last but not least, the College of Nursing.
Wow! Good morning to you all! And I must say that you brace yourself as we begin the most
awaited part of the event, the debate proper.
For our 1st round, the elimination round, set 1, we have the College of Architecture and the
College of Nursing.
For the College of Architecture, we have Althea Mae Gonzales, Matthew Mendigorin, and John
Ernest Barrientos. Coach: Ar. Xyrenz Sheen E. Eugenio, good morning, ma’am/sir! Chair
adjudicator: Rovie De Guzman.
For the College of Nursing, we have Fame Dabay, Zhen Michael Arcales, and Xeivien Fermil.
Coach: Mr. Neil Bryan Fortin, good morning, sir! Chair adjudicator: Jairus Diaz.
The motion for this round is Longer School Days constitutes Efficient and Effective Student
Learning Experience (School Regulations)
Students nowadays are not flourishing enough by being in the four corners of a classroom, nor
do they experience true knowledge within the school grounds but rather in society, as they
immerse and apply such theories and ideas into reality. However, we might observe that we are
more likely to be in the classrooms listening and writing in a cycle being sustained over the years
until we graduate. So, are longer days and hours of being seated and listening enough to make a
student an effective and efficient member of the society in the future, a competent one?

And the case is closed. Let me hear the students from CA! What about the students from CON?
That is just Round 1, Set 1 but I can already feel the heat of the competition. Sumasabay sa init
ng panahon ang mga nagbabagang bitaw na argumento ng mga ColumbaKnights.
Now, let’s proceed to our next set. For our 1st round, the elimination round, set 2, we have the
College of Computer Science and the College of Engineering.
For the College of Computer Science, we have Angelo Madriaga, Zorene Ramos, and Angelo
Santonil. Coach: Ma'am Gemma Tapado, good morning, ma’am! Chair adj: Lander Barrera
For the College of Engineering, we have Aline Dela Cruz, Jan Andrei Flores, and Shanley Mercy
Porcadilla. COACH: Engr. Gerald Garcia, good morning, sir! CHAIR ADJ: Lexa Mhay Buccat
The motion for this round is Society must normalize Cross Dressing Practices (Sexual
Orientation and Gender Identity)
Many will disagree, and some will agree and fight for their own identity and place in society. But
what if society is not yet ready for that idea and inclusions to the social contract we are used to,
since our ancestors time. We might say that unacceptable practices must not be put into malice,
yet society contends that it is unlawful.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND
And we’re back in our intellectual battle arena. For our 2 nd round, the semi-finals, set 1, we have
the _____________ and the College of Business Administration.
The motion for this round is E-SPORT is a sport (Computer and Technology)
Sports is Universal and freedom to play and find entertainment from any tangible thing is your
right. But the question is, does everything we find entertaining and dominantly played by many
qualify to be called a sport? Does E-SPORT deserve to be called a sport?

Closing 3rd Speaker PRO - 7mins
3rd Speaker ANTI- 3mins (interpellation POI)
The case is closed. Grabe ‘yon, CBA at _______! Hands down. That was intense na kahit naka-
aircon tayo ay pinagpapawisan ako. Thank you, CBA and ________!
For our 2nd round, the semi-finals, set 2, we have the _____________ and the College of Arts &
Sciences and Education.
The motion for this round is Platonic Relationship must be normalized in the present
generation (Love and Relationship)
Intimacy is what we have yearned for since our childhood, it only differs with whom we need it
from. Then Commitment is what we are preserving to deepen a relationship. However, the
question lies between the two concepts, whether all Relationship is founded from intimacy
and/or does Commitment necessary or an option for a relationship. With this, we might be
enlightened up with the idea of platonic relationship thing of the present generation, if such
really exists, or just a cover up of some cheaters and polygamous individuals.
