INTERPRETATIONS:

METHOD: Anti HCV assay is a screening test, Chemiluminescent Microparticle Immuno Assay (CMIA) used for the qualitative
detection of antibody to Hepatitis C Virus (anti-HCV) in human serum and plasma.

REMARKS:
Reactive: The result should be followed up with a supplemental test; core HCV antigen, RNA detection by NAT OR PCR.
Non-Reactive: No further action required. If recent exposure or suspected, test for HCV RNA is advised.
Borderline: Results should be repeated with fresh sample.
