Task 2:

Infographics are one of the best tools to get a good understanding of different
political problems. Infographics can give a better understanding of what the
problem is. Infographics can also show why this is happening and where. The
infographic “Black Americans 2,5X more likely than whites to be killed by police”
shows where the problem is happening. This infographic shows that the problem
is more relevant in the east then the west. These infographics are usually
scientific not based on personal opinion, which makes them even more reliable.
Infographics can show different statistics about the subject. Infographics can
make you think and see the problem from different perspectives. For example:
The infographic “Whether Americans say the economy is getting better reflects
which party holds the white house”, this infographic shows that even when there
have been no changes to the economy, but a new president gets elected,
people`s opinions still change drastically. This infographic shows the political
polarization in America and that the economics is not the only problem.
Infographics force you to think and to see patterns that explain the problem.
Example: There is an infographic that explains why people care about the
economics. The “US economic growth” infographic from Bureau Economic
Analysis is a good example of that. This graph shows that there was a huge spike
in inflation in 2020. But then the prices stabilized one month later. That could
explain the other infographic, the “Whether Americans say the economy is
getting better reflects which party holds the white house”, this also explains why
Trump won the election. Infographics force people to use their brains and makes
people less ignorant. Infographics are so good at explaining political problems
that they can help with predicting the future of the problems.
