Purchased because I have yet to find a

way to justify spending 600$CAD for
Guerlain’s Spiritueuse Double Vanille. It
was a blind buy following fragrantica
reviews. I’m not disappointed.. I love
balsamic ambery vanillas and this
delivers. I become nose blind to it
within a few minutes of application but
I get compliments throughout the day
and I can still smell it on my clothes the
next day..It is such a comforting scent
to me. So warm and cozy but not
cloyingly sweet. If you are into the
candy sweet vanillas, this isn’t for you.

I had it for a while. It was just one note

and way too much. It lasted forever.
Even though the synthetic vanilla note
was enjoyable for the first 10-20
minutes, after an hour or two I got sick
of it (and it didn't seem to fade at all)
and made me want to scrub it off, but I
was stuck with it until shower time.
That's why I stopped putting it on,
dreaded having to wear it all day (or at
all). So I just sold it. Still have the 5ml
tester but don't think will ever wear it.

Mercedes-Benz Club Black opens with

a slightly medicinal note, reminiscent
of a spray blended with herbal, candy-
like undertones. Fortunately, this initial
impression fades quickly, transitioning
into a pleasant, slightly smoky, and
cozy vanilla amber with a soft,
powdery finish. Sadly, the fragrance
remains quite linear until it fades from
the skin. Even so, it's still comforting.

As for the batch, mine is fairly old, and

its longevity and projection aren't very
strong. I believe these perfumes were
never particularly intense to begin with,
but they're still quite dense.

The smoky warmth, combined with the

vanilla and amber base, makes it ideal
for cooler weather. It leans masculine,
though anyone seeking a soft,
enveloping scent can appreciate it.

Here's the thing: at one point, this was

one of my favorite perfumes, but now
I've grown tired of it. I find myself
craving something with more depth —
something that surprises me, like a
complex Middle Eastern fragrance.
Recently, I received Al-Rehab Golden
Sand oil as a freebie, and to my
surprise, it was remarkably similar. It's
not too complex either and has exactly
the same amber-vanilla vibe. The
resemblance was so striking that I've
decided to part with my bottle of
Mercedes-Benz — there's no need to
keep both.

That said, if you're looking for a safe,

cozy vanilla with a warm amber accord
for cooler days, Mercedes-Benz Club
Black can be a solid choice and might
become your go-to. However, if you
crave more complexity and evolution in
your scents, it may feel too simple and
linear.

I got it cuz i couldnt justify the price of

guerlain ..
Its close dupe but not as masterful for
sure .. it has same type of balsamic
ambery vanilla , but its more powdery
here in a slightly medicinal way , i wish
the ambroxan note was replaced by
something else or eliminated as i think
its what is off about this perfume .. the
5 minutes intro were bad to my nose ..
the bergamot vanilla incense mix felt
like flavoured cough medicine (similar
vibe to D&G devotion of sweented
citrus which i personally highly dislike)
but it soon subbed into the scent it
meant to dupe .. its just Ok , i sprayed
kayali 28 on the other wrest to
compare .. same profile but more
rounded and sultrier .. if u want a
vanilla perfume i would say keep
searching there are much better
options out there in same price range
such as yves rocher cuir de nuit for
example

Smells like Casablanca for sure but a

bit denser, will be getting this soon for
sure. Perfumania( I’m from NY) has it
for about $100 I laughed so hard
because fragrancenet & Amazon have
it for about $50! Feminine leaning in
my personal opinion can’t speak on
longivity at the moment but when she
first sprayed it I was not pleased give it
a minute or two for it to settle and it’s
divine!

Jokes aside, an affordable scent

released by a CAR company has
absolutely no business being this
damn good.
This is incredible, a smoky, slightly
boozy, vanilla & benzoin gourmand,
nothing groundbreaking but I just keep
going back to it no matter how many
expensive niche scents I have in my
collection. It's that good.

Fantastic vanilla, amber, incense; there

are several of my all-time favorite
notes. Wonderful longevity and good
silage. It's very strange because I
know this stuff lasts ages, but I go
nose blind to it very quickly and can
barely smell it on myself, when I go to
do laundry, that same shirt still has the
scent a week later.

My only minor gripe with this fragrance

is the jasmine note, I believe this is
totally unisex, but leans a little
feminine. I actually gave this to my
wife, it smells amazing on her and she
loves it.

Good value vanilla with some spice

and bergamot so it’s not just sweet. It’s
a solid fragrance but a bit simple.
Probably a good candidate for
layering.

To my nose there are more interesting

vanillas out there but they usually cost
much more.

This was on my list for ages, finally got

it a couple months ago.
Wow, Love at first sniff. Sweet Vanilla
Amber. As simple as that. But it works.
Sillage isn't the best, but it's still a long
lasting scent that is well worth getting
for date nights or if you just fancy
sniffing pure genius.

created! especially for the price. pretty
much 9.5/10
My brother told me i smelled like a
sauna and i gotta kinda agree after him
saying it. There is that warm woody
coziness like in a sauna but not
unpleasant in any way.

A sweet-sensual and warm fragrance

that I believe is in the same DNA family
as PDM Althair but stays as a unique
profile, contrary to what others have
said. My only issue is it's sillage. I
don't know if its just the ambroxan
making me nose blind after a short
while, or if I got a weak batch.
Nevertheless its affordability balances
out the intimate sillage.

Amazing scent for the price point, but

for me? This is more of a
vanilla/cardamum ish with a hint of
pear after an hour, the bergamot is
noticeable in the first 5 minutes.
Reminds me of Althair just more
apple/pear. I’ll definitely get a whole
bottle of this soon, only tried it twice.

This fragrance is one of my favorites of

all time, i blind bought this fragrance
because of the reviews i heard about it.
And they were right, this fragrance is
just so amazing. It had a beautiful
combonation of vanilla, amber, and
insence. This preformance on this is
really good, lasting around 8-10 hours
on my skin, and it is strong, so i like to
do around 3 sprays if i want to get
noticed. And for $50 on discounters, I
think this is a must have fragrance.
Overall I would give this fragrance a
10/10.

This is quite a simple perfume, but

enjoyable. A little vanilla, a little wood,
and something a bit leathery (on my
skin, not on clothes). Completely
unisex in my opinion. I do find a lot of
parallels to the perfumes mentioned in
other comments, but this one is just
more linear than any of them. I will for
sure use up the 10ml decant I have,
but not sure I will buy a FB even
though it’s a bargain.

Edit: Decided to offer it to my teenage

son, and he loved it! On his skin it has
an added freshness and the bergamot
really comes out to shine

Personally it’s worth like 40 to Me.
Vanilla, a lil woody, floral is, smoky.
Unless I got a bad batch a lot of
people hype this up. I wouldn’t blind
buy. I’d see how some people could
like this

Apparently now a 30 USD fragrance in

Europe. I shopped hard to buy it for a
reasonable price a couple years ago. I
wonder if the new juice is still the
same. I still enjoy my old bottle. The
plethora of UAE budget fragrances in
this wheelhouse sort of cuts any
originality or sense that this is a "value"
fragrance. Ok it's 30 USD now, not 50-
60 USD, so that's great, but there are
now 15 USD similar fragrances, not to
mention the 100 dollar ones or 200
or.....

Black seems to have a bit of the

synthetic oud molecule that's been
done to death for 5 years, in addition
to the ubiquitous Ambrox. "BandAid". I
don't love the top of this fragrance but
after 15 minutes it's very nice.

Wore this today and almost forgot and

thought I was wearing Vanilla 28.
Definitely don't need both, and I
already have Vanilla 28 (though only
10mL).

Previously, I've been reminded of Silky

woods, which I don't love. (Both vanilla
28 and silky woods are pretty highly
voted on the "reminds me of" section,
so not surprising.)

Given the pricepoint, if you're wanting

a full bottle, consider this one first. (I
personally think the mini kayali bottles
are super fucking cute, and I do slightly
prefer the scent of the kayali, so I'm
not gonna go out of my way to buy/sell
anything rn. I also only wear the kayali
in winter, so won't run out of the 10mL
quickly)

Very nice find, I got this for the

upcoming cold months and it smells
very good. Its a very cozy scent
perfect for an evening date or a cold
day at the cabin. Smells like vanilla,
wood, ambroxan, the wood in there
reminds me of By The Fireplace from
Maison Margiela in the best way
possible but less loud and in your face
and more toned down. Overall it smells
very good in my opinion and lasts
throughout the day so no problem
there. I am very much looking forward
to wearing it.

It's a good classy smell. Overly sweet,

but not to the level it's nauseating, but
still beware if you don't like sweet
scent. Would be a good fragrance to
wear for formal and high-end events,
don't think it's worth to be worn for
everyday use.

from!

This is a good frag and for around 40$

you get a lot for your money. I like it
even though it is linear. But the vanilla
is so good and it gets compliments. I
never expect anything from a frag that
cost 40$ but this one is amazing for
the money. I like it so much and will
rotate with this for the whole winter!

After a round of research everywhere, I

concluded the following: this is a smell
that can make us go blind, we can't
smell it but when moving, those
around us can still smell it, sometimes
we can smell it and sometimes we
can't, some people say ambroxan
makes our nose go deaf (I'm not sure
about this because I don't have any
problems with perfumes containing
this ingredient), maybe the batch from
2023 was remade. After spraying for
the first time and leaving it for about
two months, the smell will be a bit
stronger?

Nice smell and does last long, but the

ingredients here seem very thin and it
really struggles with giving me a sillage
that i really need as others also have
mentioned. Where Mercedes club benz
is missing is in its presence, it's not
really present after spraying and i
believe it's because of how light the
whole composition is built. It's not
weak necessarily but sometimes it's
impossible to pick it up while other
times it's loud, very weird but I'm
guessing that's how they keep this
cheap. It's also not very exciting scent
wise, doesn't offer many nuances it's
mostly vanilla with smoke and incense
from top to bottom... so I’ll say this is
highly overrated on fragrantica but
probably because of value for price OH
and the atomizer is the worst I’ve ever
tried in my life.

Sadly i sold my bottle after a couple

tries and ordered Althair. (Hoping for a
more complex and stronger vanilla)
There’s just many better vanilla
fragrances that you can get if you just
pay a little bit more. I barely have any
cheap scents in my collection anymore
cause i truly have learned quality over
quantity the hard way. If you're on a
budget it's nice but if you can add a
little bit more get something that's
more present and with more character.

out of this frag. The vanilla is gorgeous
and mingles with the benzoin and

scent that will be perfectly suited for

I just got this and have to say it's one

of the sexiest vanillas I've ever owned.
It's not sweet like girly sweet, but
sweet and ambery and you can
definitely smell the benzoin which I like
a lot when paired with vanilla. The
bottle is the ugliest I've ever seen. I
think if you forgot it in your car facing
up you'd think it's a car component.
Mine doesn't last very long, I would
say 3-4 hours max but I expect once
the liquid macerates in a couple
months it will get darker and it will
have better performance (vanilla based
fragrances tend to do that). I don't see
this on a man, at least not my man,
because it's too sweet and leans
feminine in my opinion (whereas SDV
leans more masculine) but I can
understand why it's targeted for men.
Vanillas for women tend to be sweet,
cake pop sugar candy vanilla and this
is nothing like that. It's more elegant,
more mature (but not too mature
though), will definitely leave an
impression.

Heavy vanilla and benzoin with some
incense and woods.
Masculine vanilla that could also be
pulled off by females… Honestly, for
the price point, I would just go ahead
and buy it and if you didn’t like it, regift
it because I’d say 9 out of 10 people
will really like this.
Definitely a cooler weather fragrance
though, for sure!

Wow. Love at first sniff. This is amazing

stuff and smells wayyyy more
expensive than the $35/free shipping
that I paid for it. I've had two amazing
additions to my collection in the last
week. This one and DK Cashmere &
Palo Santo. They're similar to each
other. This is going to be a fragrance
that I'm going to want to wear all the
time. I feel the same way about
Cashmere and Palo Santo. I own too
many to do that but that is how
amazing both of these are. I don't get
SDV with this one. This is smoky. SDV
was so weak, I couldn't get a good
wear out of it so even though I love it,
it would frustrate me. This is potent
stuff. I don't understand any of the
reviews here that say this is weak or
doesn't project. I'm going to love
wearing this to bed too. It's very cozy.
What a perfect vanilla fragrance and I
don't know why it took me so long to
pull the trigger on this one.

Very good Fall/Winter scent. Caramel,

vanilla, but not as sweet as some of
the Most Wanted fragrances. If you like
some more incense, then Bentley
Intense is a great option. MBCB can
also cater to a younger audience.Good
fragrance for the price, which is around
$55 for 100ml.
Terrible atomizer by the way..

besides the hype behind this fragrance

i get it , it does smell great !
Performance is where it lacks IMO i got
roughly decent projection for about 2
hours then it was a skin scent for the
remaining 2 hours. People everywhere
rave of what a beast this fragrance is
but to me it bombed. Hopefully after
sitting for a couple months it will get
better but for me now it a 2.5 out 5

think this is the cheapest fragrance I
have in my collection, but one that I
would purchase over and over again. If
I tested this blindly, I'd swear it was
niche. Lune Feline without the animalic
touch, so if you love that fragrance
profile but don't dig that facet of it, this
would be a great option. Very
impressed with this!!!

Wow just wow! This is so sexy. It

reminds me of a poor man’s
Penhaligon’s the world according to
Arthur with that sexy vanilla & incense.
I got this on aura for $38 bucks. If you
can get this for that or even under $50
bucks grab it! Instant love at first sniff!
It’s very high quality, long lasting and
even oily as if it’s an extrait de Parfum,
but it’s just an edt. This will be
beautiful for winter nights. So excited
to wear it later this year!

This is the best fragrance in my

collection, the sweetness combined
with masculinity is just perfect. Not
only that, but it lasts soooo long, up to
12 hours and for a EDT it is insane. A
dupe of PDM Althair and is like 90%
similar. It is perfect for a date night. If
you can find a bottle then you HAVE to
buy it

sol de Janeiro 40 and zara sweet
tobacco or whatever it’s called.

Fire. Smells like Althair, or should I say

Althair smells like this. Beautiful vanilla
ambroxan bomb. Worth every single
penny. It's not as feminine as some
people say here, would be nice on
both genders tho but leaning more
masculine. I don't recommend blind
buying, always sample first but if you
like fragrances like Althair it's definitely
safe.

the beginning then a bit of vanilla
comes out, this isn't really for me it just
smells tacky and not luxurious like it's
described just smells like a girls

I wanted to add a warm, sweet vanilla

scent to my collection so I bought this
based on the reviews.
This is nice, actually MUCH smokier
and darker than I expected and I'm
surprised that no one has mentioned
the nutty note.
This isn't the kind of fresh, rounded,
creamy vanilla you'll find in most
modern fragrances, instead, there's
more of a bourbon vanilla extract vibe,
it's boozy, spicy and slightly resinous.
Amazing for colder weather.

The reviews I saw had me hoping I’d

found a caramel perfume that didn’t
have a strong accompanying floral
note but alas I’ve been let down again.
I blind bought due to the cheap price
and excitement of it finally being in
stock. It’s such a yummy rich caramel
without being synthetic or sickly sweet
but the combination of caramel with
florals has always smelt very off and
sickening to me and I just couldn’t get
past it. I get none of the citrus nor
smokey/incense notes. Easily unisex to
me (I’m female for reference). This was
made to shine in cooler weather, I’ve
used this in warm weather and it’s
okay (again, doesn’t get sickly sweet)
but you won’t appreciate that rich
gooey caramel nearly as much as you
would in winter or fall.

vanilla, not screechy, but very
stereotypical vanilla with some
darkness. I love wearing this. It has
great projection with just 2 sprays. I'm

As with all things fragrance related, this

is very subjective and varies person to
person based on a number of factors.
That being said, I fell for the hype and
it did not disappoint! I absolutely love
this one. I The vanilla, amber, incense,
woods and ambroxan combination in
this is just incredible. Vanilla scents
aren't for everyone but they are for me
and I am here for it. I have never felt
that word can really do justice in
describing a fragrance, especially if
you haven't been able to get your nose
on it. Most of my collection is blind
buys and fortunately I haven't had a
miss. This one is such a beautiful
vanilla fragrance that has great
versatility. I am of the belief that you
should wear what you want, when you
want but i feel this one really can be
worn any time. I live in Texas and it can
get really dadgum hot so...yeah. For
my tastes, it was a great blind buy. If
you are a vanilla fragrance fan, then
this is a no brainer. Performance and
sillage is great, I get a good 10+ hours
of longevity out of this one. 9/10

I recently purchased this but it wasnt a

blindbuy like most of my fragrances
are. I used up a sample i got a few
months ago and i was recently very
interested in picking up PDM althair.
But i wanted to buy 3 new fragrances
and the budget was 300 dollars so
didnt want to spend it up on only
Althair and Layton. So i went with this
one instead beause i actually got my
first ever compliment from a stranger
on it so just because i remmber people
thought it was good, so i bought it and
many people also said it was similar to
althair which i will talk about later

So i must say it was more femine that i

remembered, in fact its almost too
feminine but i still like. Its very very
easy to go nose blind to. My sample
lasted 8 hours on me and right now its
kinda hard to detect because im sick
rn and im getting noseblind fast so im
guessing it around the same

but now to the comparison between

Althair and MBCB. They are not that
similar. This one is not great balanced
between the woodiness and
Sweetness, the sweetness overtakes it
too much and gets out of hand. While
althair kinda stays calm with the
sweetness and is better quality which
is to be expected considering the
differences in price.

If you got the money and dont have a

budget, i recommend picking up althair
If u are like me who just want to save
alot of money and get a long lasting
everyday sweet winter fragrance with
ALOT of vanilla and benzoin then get
this one

This is not watered down althair. On

my nose this leans more feminine so it
is safe to say this is unisex fragrance. It
is like Kayali Vanila 28 mixed with
celine black tie and on top of both we
spritz eau duelle EDP. Beautiful and

This arrived today! Very nice! However,

this to me leans more feminie. To my
nose, it's a slightly grown up version of
YSL Black Opium 2014. Nonetheless,
a great fragrance but is a little sweet
for my taste so it's my girlfriend's now!
She loves it and I love it on her.
Resinous, powdery, ambery vanilla!

hype but also REFORMULATED AS
FUCK. Maybe its because of INCC
Parfums being acquired by Give Back
Beauty, I dont know but shame on you
Mercedes!
I also got few older bottles from years
2018-2020 and performs great, few
sprays are more than enough.
Current reformulations are seriously
diluted and you pay twice as much
retail. If you are able try to scoop older
batches.

I got 1 Old Version and 2 newer ones

from around 2022. The Old version
from 2019 also seems way darker if
you hold the newer one against the
light next to the old one. I think it has
been reformulated. Now i can save my
old botttle that only has 30 ML left
great.....Used to perform like a beast.

Just got a sample of Club Black

(because I'm trying hard not to blind
buy full bottles), and I'm glad I did
sample first. Yes, it smells good, but
I've come to the conclusion that I'm
just not CRAZY for vanillas. With many
vanillas, I keep getting what I think of
as a tobacco note, which I
occasionally like (such as in Molinard
Habanita), but I actually think it's
simply the vanilla. The vanilla smells
good, but I just don't want to smell like
that; if the vanilla dominates, it seems
too simple. I need ample spices (like in
Spicebomb or Cremo Vanilla & Spice),
or ample fruits and flowers to cut the
vanilla's gourmand sweetness. But, if
you're a serious vanilla lover, Club
Black may be just the thing!

this is vanilla with a backround of
smoky woody vibe but the main thing
here is just an amazing vanilla night out
vibes, stunning and sexy smell.
the longevity is really good, 8-10 hours
and the projection is really good if you
gonna put like a 8-13 sprays with this.
its not a masculine scent but i think its
unisex.

It’s a hate for me. I don’t get a lot of

vanilla, I get an unpleasant resinous
amber smell, thick and dense and not
as sweet as I expected. It’s somehow
male and something an old lady should
wear at the same time. I love Grand
Soir, this is not in the same league, or
in the same league as a good Grand
Soir clone. Crazy overhyped, I wouldn’t
take a bottle for free. I do think I may
be anosmic to Ambroxan, I can’t smell
Molecule 02 at all. So reading that this
has a lot, it’s possible I am getting an
entirely different profile than others are.

Pretty good scent. Sweet, but not

cloying or overly flashy. The queen is,
of course, vanilla - maybe not super
natural, but not too synthetic either.
From the beginning it smells of vanilla
cake. The very beginning reminds me
of orange delicacies, but it only lasts a
moment before the balsamic vanilla
takes over. It's sweet, but the vanilla is
wrapped in light incense and resin, so
it doesn't fall into too feminine territory
or overly sugary tones. It's delicious,
dark and smoky. It is accompanied by
ambroxan, but surprisingly it does not
bother me at all in this composition.
Club Black is unisex with a slight tilt
towards the masculine side. For
people who like vanillas, especially the
slightly darker ones, this is definitely a
perfume worth getting to know,
although it is nothing particularly
sublime.
A very pleasant, enveloping scent,
perfect for cold evenings, but I have
one complaint. Apart from the first few
minutes, it is a scent that does not
develop. It smells the same almost
from beginning to end and after some
time this sameness leads to boredom.
However, I have the bottle in my
collection.
Longevity is very good, it stays on the
skin for about 8 hours. The projection
seems a bit heavy at first, but it quickly
settles closer to the skin. In this case it
is sufficient, with high projection the
scent could be tiring.
It's a pity that the prices have gone up
a lot, but it's still worth it if you like
vanilla flavors.

Great smoky vanilla scent. Warm,

sweet, cosy. Very attractive in a dark
but sophisticated and well-mannered
kind of way. It kind of reminds me of a
more polite Le Male Le Parfum, with
the vanillic aspect pushed to the front,
with a smoky tone instead of spicy. A
great safe scent for any occasion
during the colder months of the year, I
find.
I'm not getting the beastly
performance others do, though. It lasts
a good while, but the projection is
much more intimate than what I
expected.
All in all, I do love wearing this and the
quality you get for the price is simply
astounding.

To be honest I'm a very big fan of this..

skin but I can't smell much vanilla.. The
combination of everything smells more
like raspberries to me?? Like has
anyone ever said that here before? I
would almost say this leans feminine..
Maybe my skin chemistry with this
cologne is just not it.. But either way I

Smell: Gorgeous scent, smells like a

scoop of spicy vanilla ice cream,
classy, gourmand and lovely

Presentation: Classy and simplistic

with a below average atomizer

Season: winter and fall are safe but I

love using this for special non duck
related events

Price: Amazing value, smells better

than most niche colognes about 30-40

Projection: It's slightly above moderate

3-4 sprays is appropriate

Mercedes Benz black is AMAZING!! I

can't say enough about this fragrance.
The vanilla and woody scent combo is
top notch. Amazing Sillage -
Performance- Longevity. Compliment
monster!! Blind buy worthy. This is
some good stuff.
Hypnotic Oud and Armaf Tag Uomo
Rosso share some the same notes and
smells similar to Mercedes Benz black.

Smells like vanilla wood elegance. hard

to dislike. great for the price. but there
a note that im not a fan off I thinks its
the balsamic it makes the fragrance a
little smoky which is not a bad thing.
it's just I don't like the balsamic
smokyness.. It is still a great deal for
the price even with the note I don't
like. I picked it up for forty five us
dollars. Worth every penny I would say.

This is an amazing cheap vanilla and

amber fragrance. Mercedes-Benz Club
Black is a great blend of all the
amazing notes you would love in an
expensive vanilla scent, just divide the
price by 2 times. This was an amazing
blind buy and i love this fragrance a lot.
I recommend this for a beginner just
starting out with fragrances.

Once I sprayed this, it instantly

reminded me of ZARA Rich Warm
Addictive, with less vanilla and more of
that amber. It also reminds me of an
iced tea type of smell; its much more
refreshing than what the notes
suggest. It doesn't come across as
dark and heavy, but a bright and
effervescent type of vanilla scent.
Simple and easy to wear. Definitely has
a place in any rotation.

because its a cheap fragrance, it

smells alcoholic straight out the bottle,
but with only about 30 seconds to dry
down, the beautiful amber heavy
vanilla comes through. its a great
sweet but also a slightly dark and
professional scent, versatility is great in
the sense that it can be worn for
almost every occasion, date night,
party and even a school/work scent
(with fewer sprays) but should only be
worn on cold winter days, witch it
matches perfectly.

I think I like this better than my current

second favorite Dior Homme Parfum. I
only spray on clothes, rarely on my
skin. Only problem is I'm going through
my juice so fast because you have to
spray a ton to get decent projection.
Probably why it's sold out all the time.
Went through my first 100ml bottle in 4
months. Club Black is a light fragrance
and that helps make it what it is,- so
good. Sexiest vanilla scent I've got my
nose on yet though. 4 sprays on each
side of my undershirt and 4 sprays on
each side of the t-shirt I wear over that
= 16 sprays per wear and it still wont
overwhelm people. So you see why my
juice is going away so fast. I think it
gets a little stronger if you let it
macerate for a month or two. Such a
gorgeous vanilla scent to me if not a
little bit light. If you get addicted to this
like I did, you'll probably end up
needing multiple bottles of this on
hand, or buying a new one every 6
months. I spray it mostly on my
favorite light jacket or hoody now so I
don't use it all up so fast.

Long lasting, the problem is there is

literally 0 projection. I blind bought this
and initially loved the smell but after 3
or so months it has started to smell
weird, there is a weird note in it that is
almost like blood or body odor. It will
last 12+ hours on ur skin but will faintly
project for 15 minutes and after an
hour don’t expect anyone to be able to
smell you unless their nose is 2 inches
away and you tell them to smell you.
Very disappointed. Also, smells the
same throughout the entire time, and
the notes all blend together, I barely
pick up any vanilla.

The opening smells boozy, the

drydown smells sweet and sexy.
Compare it to other vanilla forward
frags and Club Black smells smokey in
comparison. On its own, it just smells
really good and classy and is an easy-
reacher for cold weather. Lasts really
long too. Hype-worthy considering the

Grand Soir if it was more vanillic and

tobacco-ic. On first smell it seemed a
bit feminine but as soon as it settles
down the smoky side of it gets
revealed. Its worth it if you can find it,
and if its under 40 or 50€.

Don't be fooled by the "Eau De

Toilette" concentration. This fragrance
stays on your clothes or skin for a
really long time. I fell in love with the
scent since I smelled it for my friend
over several days, and every time it
smelled insanely good. It's not
particularly special or unique, but really
pleasant.

If you found PDM Althair too sweet or

expensive like me, this will be a much
better purchase. I have a tester of
Althair and its gorgeous but a tad bit
too sweet and expensive. And now the
Mercedes - It has everything that
Althair lacked (longevity and projection
for the price that you are paying, not
having enough balance and so on)
This fragrance is gorgeous and even
better than althair 10 / 10 from me.

A nice, simple, and easy to wear vanilla

fragrance. It's got a slight bright
opening as well due to the bergamot.
Anyways, don't overthink it smelling
like a raw vanilla fragrance like Babycat
and Absolute Aphrodisiac, think of a
vanilla fragrance beginners would go
for, something not so complex. This is
lovely, and pretty good longevity for an
EDT. Lovely bottle too.

This is very much Vanilla Woods by 7

Virtues, but a little less cloyingly sweet.
Vanilla Woods kind of starts to give me
a headache with how sugary it is,
where as this cuts off just before being
too sweet and goes a little woodier. If
you have vanilla woods though, I don’t
think you need this? Regardless this is
genuinely delicious. Definitely unisex.

Pretty much just a vanilla bomb. You

get the hints of bergamot but this is
mostly just sweet and comfortable.
Affordable, linear, comfortable. Worth
the pick up if you see it around.

Just managed to snag a bottle of this

before it sold out again on Fragbuy.ca.
This is the vanilla fragrance I've been
looking for. Very nice. To me, it smells
like a lighter, little less smokey,
smoother version of By the Fireplace. I
get a light smokey vanilla, super
comforting. Perfect for a man or
woman. Straight unisex scent to me. I
wear on clothes. It's not nuclear so you
must be liberal with your sprays if you
want to smell it. Silage not far, but
creates a nice little scent bubble
around you if you spray enough.
Immediately my second favorite
fragrance now to my beloved Dior
Homme Parfum. Don't like the bottle
though. Tough to decant any for
friends if you can't access the
atomizer. I will be stocking up on this
when I next get the chance.

I fell for the hype and absolutely hated

this. Nothing like Kay Ali. As a female,
there’s a strong dirty smell, something
that is like an off putting middle
eastern spice that I get in here. It
smells cheap, not niche. Avoid at all
cost. Now I’m convinced some of
these u tubers are straight liars.

Nope, doesn't smell like Guerlain SDV.

If fact, if you have a hard time smelling
amberwood or if ambroxan smells like
a woody scratchy mess to your nose ~
this is awful. If those two things don't
bother your nose, I guess give it a try.
But for me this was a hard pass.
Marketing is everything, right?

This is my favourite scent in my whole

collection and its only about 60 bucks.
The vanilla is extremely good together
with the smokiness. I have smelt this

Smells like a mild Tobacco with a hint

of wood, wrapped in vanilla, an overall
pleasing scent that smells somewhat
similar to spicebomb extreme but
without the overwhelming cumin note
that tends to smell like body odour on
people with certain skin chemistry. I
enjoy it quite a lot, especially since it
becomes a viable alternative to
spicebomb extreme for me, definitely
less projection than spicebomb
extreme, but the longevity is good and
it's a nice scent for a date night or
even a cosy night in. 7/10 not
considering the price, but I'd honestly
give it a 8.5/10 given the value of this
fragrance.

nothing special, a bit too
woody/Tabasco for my liking. The hint
of vanilla is nice and helps balance it.

I love it! Bought it for my husband, but

I find it totally unisex and use it myself
often. Warm, rich, smokey vanilla,
tobacco and incense. Linear but very
likeable and cozy scent, sweet but not
too much. I would say definitely an
autumn/winter fragrance

bought a full bottle and used it only 3x

because it just developed to be boring,
sweet and dated on me. layered it with
all my perfumes and none of them
worked. i think this is great for
someone who just wants a little bit of
benzoin vanilla sweetness in their lives
and to layer it with something super
dry, but surely isn’t a modern or rich
scent. For the price, it’s worth it!!

Deep, rich tobacco - vanilla on a

background of warm spices and
incense. Linear but interesting, makes
you feel laid-back and relaxed. I've
layered it with Montale Full Incense
and it's absolutely mesmerizing!!!

Benzoin, incence and vanilla + loads of

ambroxan. I hate ambroxan. The
performance in my experience is
nuclear, presumably because of the
ambroxan. 2-3 sprays is way too much
for me, and if used eg. in a car with
other people, even one spray may be
offensive. To me it smells very
synthetic and harsh. Also I find it too
feminine for myself and way too
masculine for my wife, so I dont really
get who it's for. Fortunately I got it
when it was still available for cheap
(about 30€) and resold it without losing
any money, so I guess I can't really
complain!

It's like a smokier and slightly less

gourmand version of PDM Althair. I find
that the opening is a little harsh and
incense-heavy but as it dries down the
vanilla becomes more prominent. IMO
the opening is like 60% and the dry
down is 80% similar to Althair.

Other than the scent difference, in my

testing I found that Club Black has
slightly below average performance
both in longevity and in projection. For
some reason 2-3 sprays on paper were
completely undetectable but on skin
and clothing I could pick up the scent,
although not to the same level of
projection as Althair which also lasts
longer.

I wouldn't really call Althair a clone of

Club Black but I think fans of one
would like the other. For its price point
I think it's a good fragrance and if you
can find it on discount it can be a
decent alternative (but not
replacement) for Althair, just maybe
spray a little more if it underperforms
for you. If money is no issue then I
consider Althair to be the superior
fragrance in both smell and
performance.

Mercedez (amazing value) Club black.

This is an amazing fragrance for

beginners. It’s hard to find a good
winter scent for cheap but this does
the job perfectly and I definitely
recommend for beginner collectors. It’s
nothing special all you get is vanilla but
that’s great for the price. The fragrance
lasts 6 hours which is great for an
affordable fragrance but usually not for
a expensive winter fragrance so there
is definitely a few differences between
this affordable gem and expensive
designers longevity wise. But the
fragrance still has great sillage and
smell for the price.

Absolutely amazing fragrance for the

price you pay. Before I even read the
notes I smelled it and smelled a smoky
vanilla. This is from the vanilla, benzoin
and incense. Great for the price and
it’s my favorite vanilla fragrance I’ve
smelled. It is a fall winter scent. Most
people don’t really like the bottle but I
think it’s nice. I give this fragrance a
8.5

Bought this and resold it. This is a rich

incensey benzoin (rather than vanilla)
fragrance. Whilst there are pleasant
elements to this, the ambroxan makes
this feel super synthetic to me. Great if
you don't mind that synthetic vibe
though, if you love PDM, BDK, etc, this
will probably be a winner for you.

I blind bought this based on the hype.

While it is a really nice scent, the
drydown is so close to Bath & Body
Works' "In the Stars" that I gave it to
my mom. It's just too feminine for my
liking. I will also say that while trying it
out, performance was nice. Great
projection and longevity.

Sweet warm vanilla with a bit of

incense smokiness. I can also pick up
a hint of the Ambroxan. It is slightly
woody, but I can still see this being
unisex. The projection is very powerful.
Too much can be pretty cloying. The
price is unrealistically reasonable for
the niche like quality.

I think this leans unisex. I simply love

the trail and close-up as well. Anyone
who loves vanilla with hints of incense
and bergamot will surely love this.
Don't knock it because of its price tag.
It is a sexy, suave and women always
ask "what are you wearing that smells

Mercedes Benz Club Black, crafted by

the skilled Olivier Cresp, is
unfortunately just another run-of-the-
mill amber, tobacco, vanilla, and
smoke perfume with hints of coffee.
There’s nothing particularly remarkable
or standout about this fragrance.

Its performance is mediocre at best,

and it might only be appealing in
colder weather. However, please take
my review of its performance with a
grain of salt as I’ve only tried it from a
decant.

The scent quickly becomes

monotonous and loses its charm,
making it a fragrance that I wouldn’t
actively seek out. In the vast world of

An absolutely amazing sweet, vanilla,

amber fragrance, lasts about 9 hours
on skin and has absolutely amazing
projection in the first 2 hours and the
projection decreases after the 2 hours.
Great price, definitely recommend.

Basically pure vanilla. Smells like

freshly cleaned skin with a bunch of
vanilla. Projection is decent and
longevity is about 8 hours. Great daily
for the winter and can't go wrong for
that price. Very linear though so if
that's not your thing invest some more
for a different fragrance.

Opening is very smoky with a lot

incense. Not the biggest fan of the
opening due to how strong the
smoky/incense smell is. The dry down,
however, is awesome. Smooth,
amazing vanilla with a little bit of
spices. Great winter time fragrance for
those cold, cozy days, great longevity,
sometimes I wake up the next morning
and I can still smell it faintly.

If you are looking for an affordable

winter scent and you love vanilla, you
would most likely enjoy this.

Unfortunately discontinued, this is very

mass appealing with the amber and
vanilla, it is a good entry level safe buy
for winter and fall. This is very heavy
on the amber and vanilla but the
incense steps in to make it more
complex on the dry down. Sillage is
surprisingly good but expect it to be a
skin scent after two hours. It is almost
impossible to source from discounters
in the UK so expect inflated prices.

Silllage: 8/10
Projection: 6/10
Longevity: 6/10

A decent vanilla amber that kind of

reminds me of By The Fireplace but
smoky than woody. I keep it in my
GL450 as a refresher if my fragrance of
the day wears thin.

its not feminite, its not like grand soir,

its not like herod

its smokiish,burniish vanilla, very well

blended, for 36€ in sale, in my country,
it was like for free, unreal price for this
beautifull scent, its only EdT but for 1-
2h, it has prette nice sillage, then only
skin scent, but still, for this price, cant
be beaten imho

for me, its very close to vanagloria or

babycat, if we count vanilla for
prominent note

also, this price tag, do this scent so

magical, for 100ml, unbeatable, will
buy backup bottle soon, becouse
already one bottle is down :D soon

I blind-bought it for almost 3 years. In

my opinion, this is a very synthetic
sweet vanilla fragrance with zero
character. It smells like an old lady
fragrance on clothes after dry down
and this smell stays for ages even after
washing the clothes.
It has a beast performance, but the
overall scent is not worth a penny and
there are many cheaper sweet vanilla
fragrances in the market that have a
more pleasant scent than this one.

Amazing cheapy in a tacky bottle

Great vanilla scent that’s close to

Guerlain’s Spiritueuse Double Vanille
and it doesn’t disappoint. For sure,
SDV is super high quality and you can’t
expect the same quality from a
fragrance that costs 7-8 times less but
it’s really good! It has this smokey,
resinous vanilla that is very intriguing
and sexy. At the opening i detect
something medicinal like the oud in
Mancera fragrances and at this point it
reminded me the Aoud Vanille from
Mancera. This may turn off some
people.

Performance is great! It’s not that

versatile but it’s versatile enough for
the fall and winter if you control your
sprays. I would wear it in a cool
summer night with 2-3 sprays max. It
will get some good attention!

Overall, the hype is real and it deserves

it. If you can still find it in a good price,
don’t care about the tacky bottle and
you like vanilla give this a try!

Doesn't remind me of any perfume

because I haven't tried that many, so I
will just say based on how it smells to
me. People say that there is not that
alcohol smell, but I will say there is, or
maybe that's just my imagination; it is
very weak.

Out of the notes that are presented:

Bergamot: 0 (I have no idea how it
should smell)
Incense: 3 (I can smell it really well)
Jasmine: 3 (Same for jasmine; it
combines well with incense)
Vanilla: 3 (It combines with incense and
jasmine, so it's a bit hard to notice)
Benzoin: 3 (I have no idea how it
should smell, but if it is similar to
vanilla, then yeah, it probably is there)
Woodsy Notes: 3 (They are there; you
will surely notice them)
Ambroxan: 0 (Same as with bergamot;
I have no idea how it should smell)

I would say the levels of how the

perfume goes (if smelled up close) are:
1. Jasmine, Woodsy Notes
2. Incense + Vanilla (they are at the
same strength level)

Overall:
This is a really good perfume if you
don't pay more than 60 euros because

woman. I can't say that it's a blind buy,
so find a way to test it and see if you
like it. At least now I know that I am not
a fan of fragrances that have jasmine...

I found this fragrance to be quite

interesting and different from what I
expected based on the reviews. Not
quite as vanilla-forward as I thought it
would be. While the vanilla note is
definitely present, it doesn't dominate
the scent. Instead, I perceive this
Mercedes-Benz Club Black as
primarily a wood and incense-based
fragrance, with subtle hints of vanilla
and amber that add an inviting touch.
The wood note is prominent but
pleasantly mild, making it quite likable.
Contrary to the common emphasis on
the vanilla aspect from reviews, it
doesn't come across as a gourmand
fragrance at all.

In summary, it offers a unique and

masculine take on a woody-vanilla
fragrance, especially considering its
affordable price point of around $50.

Not sure why no one’s finding it similar

to Lune Feleine by Atelier Des Ors, this

Damn this perfume is solid winner,

Club Black goes along the lines of By
The Fireplace, PDM Althair, Ameer Al
Oudh Intense. Perfect for the colder
weather with great longevity and
projects like a mofo! Amazing smoky
vanilla note that really fills up a room.
