Comparative forms of adverbs

Comparative forms of adverbs are used to compare actions.

Here are some general rules:
One-syllable adverbs: Add “-er” (e.g., “fast” becomes “faster”).
Example: “She runs faster than her brother.”
Two-syllable adverbs ending in -ly: Use “more” before the adverb (e.g., “carefully” becomes “more
carefully”).
Example: “He works more carefully than last time.”
Adverbs with more than two syllables: Also use “more” (e.g., “beautifully” becomes “more beautifully”).

Example: “She sings more beautifully than anyone else.”

 Fast → “She runs faster than her friend.”
 Carefully → “He drives more carefully than before.”
 Easily → “She completed the task more easily than expected.”
 Quickly → “They finished the race more quickly than the others.”
