A1.TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Fault Code Fault Type Fault Description Solution
1 CAN0 Bus Off CAN bus to landing boards is out of service. Check wiring and CAN bus terminations: with power off,
measure 60 ohms between CANH and CANL.
2 CAN1 Bus Off CAN bus car top boards is out of service. Same as above #1
3 Fault A3 Hydro Amendment A3 control cannot perform.
4 Stop Fault Lift stop is out of floor level. Check magnet overlapping and V3F approaching speed.
5 Door Zone Fault Door zone magnet is missing.
6 DZSM Fault Safety bypass device is out of service. Check its connections to shaft signals.
7 Emergency Power Lift is under emergency power for rescue.
8 Drive Ready Fault V3F is out of service or not ready to work. Check it for any missing input.
9 Inspection Limit Only an info for top/bottom limits on inspection run.
10 Motor Therms Motor thermistor is checked open, motor too hot. If wiring is correct, check motor conditions.
11 CAN0 Time-Out Too long time between messages on CAN0. See #1
12 CAN1 Time-Out Too long time between messages on CAN1. See #2
13 Open Limit The door open limit is not checked within the max. time. Check door operator.
14 Close Limit The door close limit is not checked within the max. time. Check door operator.
15 Slow Speed Time Run timer expired during slow speed approach to the floor. Something wrong with slow speed commands to the drive.
16 Down Limit Lift is at floor 0 and the down limit is not active. Wrong floor count or down limit switch faulty.
17 Up Limit Lift is at top floor and the top limit is not active. Wrong floor count or top limit switch faulty.
18 Start Time Running timer at start while leaving the floor level. The lift does not move from floor level.
19 Levelling Time Lift cannot re-level at floor (hydraulic lift). Check door open bypass module.
20 Run Time Lift does not move between floors within time limit. Check up/down & speed commands to V3F drive.
21 Close Defect Safety contact R4 is not closed after time-out for start.
22 Max Close Time Time-out on door close. Check door close limit or door motor/operator.
23 Max Open Time Time-out on door open. Check door open limit or door motor/operator.
24 Faults Clear External command to clear all faults in memory.
25 Mach. Room Temp Overtemperature in the machine room.
26 Shaft Count Shaft Magnets counts is wrong. Check magnets and shaft sensors for any damage.
27 Up & Down Limits Up & Down limit switches are both active. Check damage of contacts or wrong polarity.
28 E11 not learned E11 data non saved. Go to menu “07.E11 SHAFT” and follow all steps.

29 Temperat. JP11.2 Input on JP11.2 is wrong. Check wiring and source signal.
30 Overload Overload signal is active.
31 Open Command Some open command is active. Check DO button, photocell, safety edge, etc.
32 Floor Pushbutton Landing button is faulty pushed.
33 Safety R0 Safety check R0 is open. On wiring diagram check the contacts before this R0.
34 Safety R1 Safety check R1 is open. On wiring diagram check the contacts before this R1.
35 Safety R2 Safety check R2 is open. On wiring diagram check the contacts before this R2.
36 Safety R3 Safety check R3 is open. On wiring diagram check the contacts before this R3.
37 Safety R4 Safety check R4 is open. On wiring diagram check the contacts before this R4.
38 Door Obstacle Door is blocked while closing. Related to door nudging functions.
39 EN81-21 FCU Additional upper limit. Related to EN81-21 standards.
40 EN81-21 EU Lower safety limit. Related to EN81-21 standards.
41 Start Permit Main contactors control. Check auxiliary contacts on main contactors.
42 No Down Limit The lower limit switch is not present. Check wiring and contacts for any fault.
43 No Up Limit The upper limit switch is not present. Check wiring and contacts for any fault.
44 DownLim.Position Down limit switch is not in the right position. Check switch.
45 UpLim. Position Up limit switch is not in the right position. Check switch.
46 Wrong RTC Clock Real time clock is wrong. Go into menu 17 and set it correctly.
47 Brakes ON Fault Motor brakes are not all ON. Check motor brakes and wiring.
48 Brakes OFF Fault Motor brakes are not all OFF. Check motor brakes and wiring.
49 A3: Valve/Brake 1 Amendment A3: control for valve or brake n. 1 Check involved circuit
50 A3: Valve/Brake 1 Amendment A3: control for valve or brake n. 2 Check involved circuit
51 A3: Double Fault Amendment A3: both valves faulty Check involved circuit
52 A3: Brake Timing Amendment A3: brake timing too long. Check involved circuit
53 Emerg. Battery Emergency battery is not charged. Replace the battery.
54 Pawl Dev. Fault Pawl device not working. Check output commands and feedback signal.
55 EX16 Brakes EX16 board for brake control is not working. Check EX16 board, replace it.
56 Intrusion Shaft & doors control has been violated. External access to the shaft.
57 Door Alarm/Fault Door motor over-heating or over-current. Check door conditions and motor supply.
Mechanical trip of door gear.
58 Pit Access Warn. Access to the pit by personnel. An information of this event.
59 Pit Access Reset The pit access has been restored to safe. An information of this event.

60 SoftStart Ramp The soft starter failed to complete the starting sequence. Check the device. Increase 2H.02 parameter.
61 Pawl Device Off The pawl device cannot move to “run” position. Check the device.
62 Car Drive Fault Dedicated to gates: the car V3F drive is faulty. Check the device.
63 Land Drive Fault Dedicated to gates: one landing V3F drive is faulty; the Check the device.

64 Preopening Fault The preopening function is enabled but not operating for Check Fuji drive:
some hardware connection or software setting.  E31 = 300 mm/s
 E31 = 10 (hysteresis)
 E22 = 2 (speed detect)
Check Rev.5 parameters:
 03.03 = yes
 08.24 = assigned to input controlled by Fuji drive
 11.05 = open/closed polarity based on Fuji output
65 EN81-20 Car Door Control if the car doors safety R3 is open or not. Check the safety contacts.
66 EN81-20 LandDoor Control if the landing doors safety R4 is open or not. Check the safety contacts.
67 Locks Fault Control if the safety locks are closed or not. Check the safety contacts.
68 RAM Memory Fault Internal alarm for memory exhausted. Report to Nova Elex.
69 Pit Reset Defect Checks if the pit reset switch is bypassed or defective for Check the switch.
