Communication
Toolkit
By: Bhawna
In order to communicate in a business
setup, various tools can be used for
different purposes. However, it is
important to keep the purpose in mind
before communicating. One way to avoid
causing causing confusion or inaction due
to ineffective communication is to use the
“5 Whys technique”.
The “5 Whys technique”is a
problem- solving technique which
involves asking “Why?” five times to
reach the root cause of problem or
purpose.
Example:
Why do you want them to know about your NGO?
Because I want them to know about our current campaign.
Why do you want them to know about our current campaign?
Because I want them to sign the petition and tell others about it.
Why do you want them to sign the petition and tell others about it?
Because then it will have more signatures.
Why do you want more signatures?
Because then there can be a debate on how women refugees are treated.
Why do you want it to be debated upon?
Because debate increases the chances for introduction of laws to safeguard
rights of women refugees.
