Database Exercise and Homework

The document describes two exercises for students to practice building databases. The first asks students to analyze hotel reservation transaction data to help a small hotel improve its business strategies. The second asks students to design an inventory database for a bike shop to manage information about suppliers and products. Students are instructed to generate specific reports from the databases to analyze areas like room occupancy, revenue, product costs, and reorder levels. They are also asked to identify ways the databases could be enhanced to provide better strategic information for management.
