Hackathon Guidelines
Solution Track
1. Eligibility
• Open to:
o College students (undergraduate and graduate)
o Professionals with up to 2 years post-graduation experience.
• Teams must consist of 2–3 members.
2. Team Structure
• Team Leader:
o The first registrant becomes the Team Leader.
o Team leader is responsible for registering team members and naming the team.
o Team leader represents the team and ensures compliance with the guidelines.
• Team Changes:
o Teams cannot be changed once the hackathon begins.
o If any member leaves, the entire team will be disqualified.
3. Event Format
• Structure:
o Online event with Qualification Rounds and multiple Challenge Rounds.
o Winners are determined based on aggregated performance across Challenge Rounds.
• Time Zone:
o All timings follow Indian Standard Time (IST), GMT + 5½ hours.
5. Prizes
• Cash Prizes:
o INR amounts (or USD equivalent for international participants) will be transferred to the Team
Leader’s account.
o Subject to 30% tax deduction.
• Alternate Prizes:
o Online coupons will be awarded for quiz.
• Authenticity:
o All information provided must be accurate. False information leads to disqualification.
• Verification:
o Credentials will be checked before Challenge Round 2.
o Discrepancies will result in forfeiture of prizes and certificates.
• Data Usage:
o Team information will be shared with the Jury Panel and Organizing Committee as needed to run
the hackathon.
9. General Terms
• Participation is free and does not entail compensation or expense reimbursement.
• Tax implications on prize money are the responsibility of the winners.

Startup Track
• Applicant start-ups need to apply only in the mentioned cybersecurity domains
• Start-up needs to upload proposal and pitch deck which will be reviewed by jury committee
• Shortlisted start-ups will pitch before the committee at IIT Kanpur campus
• Selected start-up gets cash prizes up to 5 lakhs & cloud credits
• Selected start-up gets incubation opportunity at IIT Kanpur with funding 22 lakhs for 2 years
