10. In Youngs double slit experiment if the distance between the two slit is halved and
distance between slit and screen is double then what will be the effect on fringe width?
11. Light wave each of amplitude a and frequency ω emanating from two coherent light

12. superimpose at a point. If the displacement due to these waves is given by
y 1 = asin ωt, and y 2 = asin (ωt + φ) where φ is the phase different between two, obtain
the expression for the resultant intensity at a point.
13. In Young’s double slit experiment, using the monochromatic light of wavelength λ the
intensity of light at a point on the screen where path difference is λ is 2K units. Find out
the intensity of light at a point where path difference is λ/6.
14. Young’s double slit experiment the distance between two monochromatic coherent
sources of light is d and the slits are at the distance D from the screen. The interference
pattern is observed on the screen. Show that the dark and bright fringe width is λD/d.
