The Hawk and the Ostrich were very good friends. They lived very close to each other.
Both of them had large farms where they worked every day. Sometimes they ate together.
They often shared things together as neighbors. But both of them had no children. One
day, they went to a medicine man in another village to ask for help. The medicine man
told them to bring money for a special kind of medicine.
The Hawk had money but the Ostrich does not. The money that the Hawk had was
just enough for her alone. So, both of them decided to work harder on their farms so that
they could get enough money for the Ostrich After working hard for One week, they were
able to get enough money for the Ostrich to also take to the medicine man’s house. Both of
them then went together to see the man.
