HiTEC 8758B
A Versatile Cascade Booster Additive for Increased TBN
Application
HiTEC 8758B additive is a booster package designed to be used in conjunction with
the new HiTEC 8799B cascade package in the manufacture of a range of mainstream
heavy-duty oils. HiTEC 8758B is used over a slightly narrower product range
compared to HiTEC 8757B, but is specifically designed to meet a target TBN of 10.0
mg KOH/g for the lower quality oils within the HiTEC 87XX performance profile
range. HiTEC 8758B is designed to be used with HiTEC 8799B to manufacture oils at
API CG-4, CF-4 and CF-4/SJ quality levels.
Recommended Dosage
HiTEC 8758B additive is designed to be used in conjunction with HiTEC 8799B additive
to meet the following general performance profiles.

 API CG-4, ACEA E3 and MB 228.3 package approval


9.2% wt HiTEC 8799B plus 2.1% wt. HiTEC 8758B booster

 API CF-4, ACEA E2 and MB 228.1 package approval


7.0% wt HiTEC 8799B plus 2.6% wt. HiTEC 8758B booster

 API CF-4/CF/SJ only


5.4% wt HiTEC 8799B plus 2.8% wt. HiTEC 8758B booster

 Trimming booster package designed to be used at moderate treat rates in a simple
downtreat cascade targetting a minimum market TBN.
