Introduction
A gym chain company wants to create a health and fitness app for their customers. With this app
you will always be able to communicate with the customers and keep track of their physical
progress. This report discusses how will launch a health and fitness app for a gym company. This
app will usually provide users with guidance on health and fitness. Users will be able to see the
progress of their health through this health and fitness app. The research methods used to create
this app will be discussed in detail. Researching these apps will address the issues that are likely
to be encountered. The amount of time and materials needed to create a quality health and fitness
app will be discussed.

1. A brief conclusion with the client
The health and fitness app will be discussed in detail here. Topics of discussion are background
information about the app, health, and fitness, how the app works, why it will be created,
potential customers of the app, etc (Alturki and Gay, 2019.). Delivering information about the
app to the customer based on the mentioned issues.

Background information: The health and fitness app will help the client to achieve his fitness
goals as well as physical exercise. One of the most popular fitness apps connected to usable
online devices is Fitbit with 3.3 million users in January 2014, 3 million users with Samsung's
Health apps and 0.8 million users with Nike Running apps.

Application work: fitness app is a great workout tracker. It can tell speed, altitude, route,
walking and user race information. This app will tell you how many calories a person has
consumed or how many kms he has covered. This is not the end. The app will also tell one how
many hours the fitness apps user walked or slept. Users will also have access to no-equipment
home workout videos through this app (Deng et al., 2021). Where there are full-body workouts
and yoga workouts. Like other apps, it helps you achieve your health and fitness goals. In
addition to workout trackers, it also works as a weight loss tracker, water tracker, food tracker,
slip tracker and even a hand wash tracker. Users will also have access to no-equipment home
workout videos through this app. So that there are full-body workouts and yoga workouts.

Reasons for creating the app: In today's modern age, people want to get all the tasks of life
easily. People use different methods to make the issues of quality of life easier. Similarly,
companies have created health and fitness app to fix people's fitness (Engen, and Engen, 2019).
This health and fitness app offers customers many benefits such as workout tracker, weight loss
tracker, water tracker, food tracker, slip tracker and even handwash tracker. Customers will be
interested in and use this app. And using the app will benefit the company in all respects.

Potential customers: While the Health and Fitness app applies to everyone, people of all ages or
backgrounds do not use the app. However, in most fields, young people, athletes, different
players are the potential customers.

Research methodology
Research philosophy: Positivism philosophy has been applied to this study. Usually this
philosophy will contain sufficient information on a particular subject and with this information
correct decision will be made on a subject (Esmaeilzadeh, 2021). The company is going to bring
an app for health and fitness, so they need to collect data on food habits, needs, tastes, income,
etc. of potential customers.

Method: This report has been compiled using a mixed-method method of data collection. Mixed
method means where there will be qualitative and quantitative information. Qualitative
information is the information that questions, interviews (Kolivand, Green and Asadianfam,
2021). Quantitative data, on the other hand, is used in mathematical calculations, algorithms or
statistical analysis.

Achieve goals with smart purpose
Specific: No matter what type of company they have, they must have a goal and that goal must
be clear and precise. If the goal is not specified (Fühner et al., 2021). Then the company will lose
interest in doing things according to its plan which will result in the company failing to achieve
its goals. So it is essential for any organization or business to have a specific goal.

Measurable: Millions must be measurable in the field of any company. With measurable goals,
the company can easily track its own progress and keep itself motivated at all times (HentHOrn,
2019). The company focuses on the work by reviewing the progress of its goals, meeting the
deadlines and fulfilling their ultimate goals.

Achievements: Businesses set a specific goal for their business. It turns out that companies are
setting goals for their organization that may not be achievable for their organization (Kim et al.,
2020) . It is possible for an organization to set such a goal considering the company’s law and
social responsibility to be successful. In addition, the success of a goal depends on one's own
capital, staff skills, and technical advancement.

Time-limited: Each goal must have a specific time-limit. If there is no time limit, all the
employees and officials will be neglected towards their work or goals. In order to achieve this
goal, the organization will not be able to succeed due to the negligence of time knowledge. In
order to achieve a long-term goal, the organization has to fulfill many small goals (Myers et al.,
2021). There is a time limit for each of these small goals. If these goals can be met within this
limited time, then there will be no obstacle in meeting the long term goals.

02. Problem analysis
Problems of planning: Planning is a process of making advance decisions about what needs to
be done to achieve a goal, how, where, when and at what time to complete the work. If a
company wants to launch health and fitness apps then the company must plan according to the
needs and requirements of the customers (Pedragosa, 2021). The plan must be clear and
workable. If there is a problem in the plan, it is not possible to reach the goal.

Designing Problems: Apps design is an important issue in today's competitive market. With the
change in user tastes, habits, income, etc., the use of health and fitness app is changing. Many
times competing company app. Despite its uniformity, some companies are only able to capture
the app market due to design differences and others are being pushed out of the app market.
Apps own, color, shape, pattern, ornaments, etc. are the design. Products have to be designed
considering the preferences of the users, gain competitive advantage etc (Shen, 2020.). If the
design of the apps is not appropriate, the existence of the organization may be endangered. So
companies need to pay close attention to the design of apps. As well as the design of the apps,
the quality management of the apps is also an important issue. This is because in today's
competitive market, users make a decision by evaluating health and fitness app standards more
seriously.

Developing: An app is created and developed through coding. Coding is an important issue for
any app. If there is a problem in coding, the quality of the apps will be bad. Through coding, a
program is set in the apps. The program provides services to customers or users (Siira, Häikiö
and Annanperä, 2018). If there is a problem with the apps program, users will not be able to
provide good service. Then you have to drop out of the competitive market. So you have to code
the app with efficient coder

Test: Before launching any app, you have to check whether the app is working properly or
whether the purpose for which it was created is being implemented. On the other hand, users
may not be satisfied with the test results (Soulé, Marchant and Verchère, 2021). Users are the
lifeblood of the organization. Because if users stop using apps, the organization will have to face
a big loss. So before launching the app, you have to test it with love.

8|Page
Maintenance: The current world is changing rapidly with the advent of information technology.
So the demand of the users is not fixed in another place. So after launching the apps, it may be
necessary to update (Thomas, 2020). If a company and apps do not update in time then most of
its users will be lost. If the user is lost then the organization will face loss. So in order for an
organization to retain the users of its apps, it has to maintain its apps regularly. And you have to
include new things to stay ahead of the competition.

9|Page
Project scope
App design and launch cost: App design is an important issue in today's competitive market.
Before launching any app, you have to decide the design of those app. The use of apps is
changing as users' tastes, habits, income, etc. are changing. As users' tastes, preferences, habits,
etc. change, on the one hand, companies are forced to change the design of their launched health
and fitness apps, on the other hand, in order to survive in the competition, modern design of apps
is also required. The last step in the process of an app is to launch apps (Tsai et al.,2021). An
organization has to bear a lot of expenses to launch an app. These costs are given below.

Particulars Amount
Design cost £50

Development cost £60

Testing cost £40
Deployment cost £20
Maintenance charge £15
Upgrade chare £25
Total £210

Social media integration: People in today's world use social media - and many of them want to
stay connected when using the health and fitness app. Find out how to use the health and fitness
app with users and their friends to attract and retain users. The Company can integrate social
media in its health and fitness app (Yadav et al., 2022). Nowadays social media has become an
integral part of people's daily lives. Even over time, it has become more and more intertwined
with human life. If users regularly interact with Company's health and fitness app, it makes sense
to include social media in the company's app to provide customers with a more personalized,
engaging and efficient experience.

Customization: Customization is done by the app user. Usually the layout, content or system
functionality of a particular system user is identified through customization. Apps can adapt to

10 | P a g e
information technology to meet the needs of users to be able to change the old experience.
Customization reflects the preferences of health and fitness users. Apps are changed with the
latest trends. Customization selects topics that interest app users. Other things related to the
visual design of an interface, such as changing the color of the app, may include the desire for
users to use the app for a long time.

Testing: It is necessary to test any app before launching in the market. Professionals test these
apps. They basically see if there are any errors in the apps. And in this case, they have to follow
most part of the Requirement because of the apps that are required to have the correct. If the
quality of the apps is not good, the number of users will decrease (Zheng and Hermawati, 2021.).
And if the quality is worse than the achievement of the organization's goal will not only be
achieved but will also fall behind the competitive world market. So you have to launch the apps
after checking them well. The three most popular platforms for testing apps are Test Flight, Test
Fairy, and HockeyApp.

Launch your app: To create an app, you have to plan, customize, test, and design. After many
processes, the app is finally ready to launch. In the current market, the app first uploads the files
of this app to the Google Play Store. In addition, health and fitness app should be promoted
through various marketing. The importance of marketing is immense because of launching an
app. The more you promote, the more the app will reach people and everyone will know about
the app. This will ultimately benefit the organization.

03. Task administration
1. Select fitness app type and select target audience: A member will be hired for this project
whose job will be to select the type of fitness that can be used to give more benefits to the app
users and to select the selected viewers of that selected app. selecting a specific target audience
makes the task much easier to implement. Specifying a task for the implementation of a goal
makes it possible to implement that task quickly. And if not specified, then the implementation
of the project may occur in the future, so it is necessary to select the specific audience according
to the type of fitness app (Zhu et al., 2022). Apps will be designed and developed based on the
likes and dislikes of those visitors.

2. Start app development: Eligible Four developers will be selected to start app development.
The developers will do all the work to launch an app and make the audience user-friendly,
starting with an attractive design. Developers have to complete everything from their plans to
realistic works within a certain time frame as everything has a time frame and failure to complete
the work within that time reduces both the cost and the demand (Zheng and Hermawati, 2021.).
The success and advancement of the company will depend on the functionality or activities of
this app because if the viewers find the activities of the app complicated then it will not be
possible to implement the app goals.

3. Financial task: To calculate the financial condition of this project we need to appoint two
members who will keep all the accounts of this project. Where and how much is being spent?
How much is the budget for a thing? To keep a complete account so that when a successful
implementation takes place, all the transactions for this benefit have to be accounted for to
calculate the profit and loss. App development has cost a lot. Since its loco gives all the benefits
to the users, it will cost more (Fühner et al., 2021). So hire members by calculating so that they
close all the cost transaction accounts from start to finish of the app. As a result, a list will be
made of the financial impact on the profit and loss and the amount of profit the company will
make. These members of the team will have a complete account of who has spent which side, in
which sector, and how much.

12 | P a g e
4. Advertising and promoting: Two qualified members will be hired for the advertisement and
promotion of the app who are experienced in conveying the news about the app to the specific
audience through advertisement and promotion. Effective advertising is very important because
just because an ad doesn't reach the right users, it doesn't make sense. If advertising and publicity
are not done properly, the company will suffer. So advertising and publicity has to be done very
carefully, but if it can be done properly, it is possible to reach a specific audience only through
publicity. People from all walks of life will be able to know about one through advertisements
and campaigns. If not advertised and promoted, the project will be considered a failed project.

04. Project Management Report
Progress and performance: The goals of the company must be clear and specific. If it is not
specific and clear, then the Smart Objective will not follow (Heerkens, 2018). Companies need
to keep an eye on the app for their progress so that the app can give customers the right
performance. If one fails to perform properly, customers will lose interest in the gym company.
So according to Smart Objective, the company has to be specific and clear.

Management skills: Project management skills are essential for planning, organizing,
communicating, and completing projects. Senior executives are endowed with such qualities. If
management skills are not available to senior executives in a company, then they cannot make
the right decision at the right time .Which does not fall under the smart criteria and cannot
achieve the goal according to the mission.

Design and Development: According to the smart criteria, the design of the product must be in
order to achieve the goals of the company (Heerkens, 2018). The app needs to be developed in
such a way that the company can meet the functions and needs of the customers. If the app is not
properly designed and developed, then it will not be acceptable to the customers and they will
not feel comfortable using this app. The app needs to be focused on design and development so
that it can fulfill the demands of the customers (Levitt, 2019).

Investigate and research: A research plan is essential to a research project as it defines and helps
define your purpose, methods, and objectives while mapping out the research project from start
to finish (Levitt, 2019). Company information should be relevant for research and investigation.
Irrelevant information will show incorrect reports in the case of company research. For which
the company will not be able to reach its goal. Therefore, accurate information has to be
collected by recruiting staff at the field level or field level for investigation (Whetten, 2021).

14 | P a g e
Project Success
Users: Tracking a company's app users is fundamental to generating deeper engagement, such as
segmenting audiences, tracking specific behaviors, and launching campaigns. Successful app
marketing. User tracking also allows companies to go beyond downloads and unique opens (De
Wit, 2018).

Session length: Session duration is measured as the amount of time between opening and closing
the application, or when the application times out after 15 seconds. It shows how much time
customers spend in the company app per specific session (Baccarini, 2020). Tracking customer
session duration is key to unlocking revenue potential in the flows of the company's app or the
different in-app scenarios company's customers meet (Prabhakar, 2019).

Acquisition: Conversions are the number of people that download and install a company's apps
from a certain place, whether it's through organic search, word of mouth, sponsored marketing,
or in-app recommendations (De Wit, 2018). The company can know about the success of the app
through this acquisition.

Meet schedule requirements: Companies need to keep an eye on whether the app is in
accordance with the requirements. If the app is not as required then it will not be able to meet
the targets of the customers or the needs of the customers (Baccarini, 2020). So, to measure
whether the app has been successful or successful in the right way, the customer needs to be full.

15 | P a g e
Conclusion
The report reveals that an app has been created for gym companies that allow the company to
monitor customer health and fitness progress. How was researched to create this app, what
information was used, and smart criteria were used to achieve the project's goals for project
acceptance. Shows the time spent completing the project. Some of the issues encountered during
the investigation were discussed and showed how to solve them. To complete the work, the work
is divided among the team members, and the work is completed on time. In the end, it shows that
the emphasis was on how to measure the success of the company’s app.
