Subject: Urgent Appeal for Timely and Coordinated NEET PG Counselling for Madhya
Pradesh
Respected Sir,
TREASURER
Dr. Ramgopal Baghel
We representatives of Junior Doctor Association Bhopal Madhya Pradesh writing this letter to
draw your attention towards to NEET PG 2024 counselling rocess for
Dr. Priyal Pandey our state, as well as the urgent need to pause the All India Counselling until Madhya Pradesh
JOINT SECRETARY counselling is brought up to speed. Despite our repeated efforts, we have not received any
Dr. Balasubramanian R substantive responses or seen any meaningful progress, leaving us in a state of prolonged
Dr. Tanay Payasi uncertainty. This situation is deeply concerning, as it is the students who are bearing the
Dr. Nikhil Rajpoot consequences of these administrative inefficiencies.
Dr. Rajat Soni It is disheartening to witness the lack of coordination between various government bodies,
Dr. Kailash Gupta which is
Dr.Alok Gupta severely infringing on our fundamental right to equal opportunity. We are compelled to submit
this
MEDIA SPOKESPERSON final appeal, urgently requesting your attention to this matter, as the delay is adversely affecting
our
Dr. Stephen Nand
Dr. Shivangi Chauhan academic future and our basic rights.
Dr. Palak Bansal Key Concerns of the Students:
1. Violation of Equal Eligibility Rights for MP Students
LEGAL ADVISOR As per the established eligibility criteria, students from Madhya Pradesh are entitled to
Dr Jeewan Singh Yadav participate in All India, other state, and MP state counselling processes. However, due to the
Dr. Sant Kumar Sharma delay in the MP state counselling. we are being unfairly deprived of the opportunity to
Dr. Sourav Diasi
participate in these counselling processes on equal terms, particularly in accessing the state
Dr. Raj Singh Chouhan quota seats.
Dr. Sonu Pandoliya 2. Need for a Synchronized Counselling Schedule
Dr. Sabir Amin Ahmad
Dr. Arjun Jat
Acoordinated counselling schedule across All India, other state, and MP state counselling is
critical for students to secure the best possible seats based on merit. However, the current
CULTURAL SECRETARY delay is hanmpering our ability to make informed decisions and seize optimal opportunities,
Dr.Gursharan Singh Mehta thus putting us at a significant disadvantage.
Dr. Rashmi Meena 3. Impact of NBE's Error in Merit List Creation
Dr. Milan Singh Tomar The High Court has clearly ruled that a procedural error was made by the NBE in generating
Dr. Shiva Shrivastava the merit list for Madhya Pradesh. This mistake has caused substantial harm to students, as
Dr. Kiran Mayi we are unable to accurately assess our best options based on our actual merit.
Dr. Shruti Garg 4. Confusion Regarding Seat Allocation
Dr. Hemant Sharma Students are caught in a dilemma regarding whether to accept available seats in All India or
other state counselling or to wait for Madhya Pradesh counselling, where we are eligible for
IT CELL
state quota seats. The uncertainty is compounded by restrictive rules in AIl India and other
Dr. Devangi Chandra state counselling, which prevent students from relinquishing their seats if they later secure a
Dr Jain
Dr rvita Takhtani better option in Madhya Pradesh. Under current scenario students of MP will lose their right
over state quota seats.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE 5. Missed Counselling Opportunities
Dr. Nidhi Dwivedi Due to the delay, many students have already lost the equal chance to participate in Round 1
Dr. Devendra Mehra and Round 2 of various counselling processes. If this delay persists, we will be left with no
Dr. Nilesh Nag opportunity to participate in All India or other state counselling, as these rounds will
Dr. Nikhil Tripathi conclude by the time Madhya Pradesh counse lling begins.
Dr. Yashdeep Katyavar 6. Financial and Logistical Burdens
Dr. Saurabh Gurjar
The delay is also causing significant financial strain. For students who have already accepted
seats in AIl India or other state counselling, the complex rules surrounding security deposits
and forfeitures are unfair. Additionally, private and NRI students are facing hefty fees for
leaving private institutions, as per the rules of AIl India and other states' counselling
processes.
7. Impact on Future Opportunities
Due to the ongoing delay, many students from Madhya Pradesh have already lost their
eligibility for merit-based seats in subsequent rounds. If the delay continues, a large number
of students will be left without any opportunity to secure a seat, whether in Madhya Pradesh
through AIl India or other state counselling.
If a student fails to secure seats in MP, they would not be able to apply in other states and all
India counselling as they would have commenced.
8. MP Counselling Process
In Madhya Pradesh, the first round of counselling is a "free exit" round, where security
deposits are not forfeited. This system encourages students to apply for seats they may not
ultimately take. However, by the time Madhya Pradesh reaches Round 2, all other
counselling would finish leaving students unable to participate in the subsequent rounds of
All India or other state counselling. Thus it is essential that MP counselling reaches Round 2
before all India and other state counselling.
Our Demands:
1. Synchronize Counselling Schedules Across Authorities
We respectfully request that all concerned authorities, including MCC, MP DME, NMC, and
NBE, work together to synchronize the counselling schedules for All India, other state, and
MP state counselling. This coordination is essential to ensure that students from Madhya
Pradesh are given an equal opportunity to participate in all relevant counselling processes
those are remaining.
2. Immediate Commencement of MP Counselling.
We urge the authorities to begin the Madhya Pradesh counselling process as soon as
possible, with a fresh choice filling process.
3. Pause All India and other state counselling till MP counselling schedule catches up
It is essential to bring MP counselling to stage of round 2 before other counselling processes
of all India and other state are allowed to continue.
4. Fresh choice filling for MP counselling
Given that many students have already secured seats in All India or other state counselling,
this fresh choice filling process is crucial to accommodate the changed dynamics and ensure
fairness.
5. Avoid Forfeiture of Security Deposits
We request that MCC ensures students from Madhya Pradesh are not penalized with the
forfeiture of security deposits in All India or other state counselling. This will enable us to
participate in MP counselling without financial burden or disadvantage.
6. Protect the Rights and Opportunities of MP Students
The delay and errors in the merit list have already caused significant losses for students from
Madhya Pradesh. We urge the government to intervene immediately to ensure that these
students are not further penalized for issues beyond their control and are given fair access to
opportunities.
We sincerely hope that the authorities recognize the gravity of this situation and take swift
action to
address these delays and injustices. It is imperative that we are given a fair and equal
opportunity to
pursue our academic and professional goals without further obstacles.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this critical matter. We trust that you will take
prompt
and just action to resolve this issue in the best interests of all concerned.
