Here are class notes for 2nd grade students across various subjects:

1. English:
Grammar:
Nouns: A noun is the name of a person, place, or thing.
Example: cat, school, chair

Common Noun: Names of general items.


Example: dog, tree
Proper Noun: Names of specific people, places, or things.
Example: John, Delhi
Collective Noun: A word that refers to a group of things or people.
Example: family, team
Pronouns: Words used instead of nouns.
Example: he, she, it, they

Verbs: A verb is an action word.


Example: run, jump, eat

Adjectives: Words that describe nouns.


Example: big, tall, red

Prepositions: Words that show the position of something.


Example: in, on, under, over

Tenses:
Present Tense: Describes actions happening now.
Example: I play football.
Past Tense: Describes actions that already happened.

Future Tense: Describes actions that will happen.

Sentences:
A sentence is a group of words that makes complete sense.
Example: The cat is sleeping.
2. Mathematics:
Numbers:
Counting Numbers: Learn to count from 1 to 100.
Example: 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 100

Place Value:

Ones: 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
Tens: 10, 20, 30, etc.
Example: 34 has 3 tens and 4 ones.
Addition and Subtraction:

Addition: Putting numbers together.


Example: 2 + 3 = 5
Subtraction: Taking numbers away.
Example: 5 - 3 = 2
Multiplication and Division (Introduction):
Multiplication: Repeated addition.
Example: 2 × 3 = 6
Division: Splitting into equal parts.
Example: 6 ÷ 2 = 3
Shapes and Patterns:
2D Shapes: Circle, Square, Rectangle, Triangle, etc.
3D Shapes: Cube, Sphere, Cone, Cylinder.

Patterns: Recognize and create patterns.


Example: red, blue, red, blue...

Measurement:
Length: Measuring how long or short something is.
Example: Use a ruler to measure length.

Weight: Measuring how heavy or light something is.


Example: Use a scale to measure weight.

Time: Reading clocks.


Example: O'clock, half past, quarter past.

3. EVS (Environmental Studies):


My Family and Me:
Family: Different types of families – nuclear family, extended family.
Roles in Family: Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, etc.
Our Body and Senses:
Body Parts: Head, hands, legs, eyes, ears, nose, etc.
Five Senses:
Sight: Eyes help us see.
Hearing: Ears help us hear.
Taste: Tongue helps us taste.
Touch: Skin helps us feel.
Smell: Nose helps us smell.
Plants and Animals:
Parts of a Plant: Roots, stem, leaves, flowers, and fruits.
Animals:
Wild Animals: Lions, Tigers.
Domestic Animals: Dogs, Cats.
Farm Animals: Cow, Sheep, Goat.
Healthy Habits:
Eating Healthy Food: Fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are good for health.
Exercise: Regular exercise keeps us fit.
Cleanliness: Wash hands, brush teeth, bathe regularly.
Our Environment:
Water: Importance of water, ways to save water.
Pollution: Types of pollution – air, water, noise.
Example: Don’t throw trash on the ground.
4. Hindi:
Vocabulary and Grammar:
संज्ञा (Noun): Names of people, places, or things.
Example: लड़का (boy), घर (house)

क्रिया (Verb): Words that show actions.


Example: खाना (to eat), दौड़ना (to run)

विशेषण (Adjective): Words that describe nouns.


Example: सुंदर (beautiful), तेज (fast)

वचन (Number):

एकवचन (Singular): One item.


Example: किताब (book)
बहुवचन (Plural): More than one item.
Example: किताबें (books)
सर्वनाम (Pronoun): Words used instead of nouns.
Example: वह (he), हम (we)

Short Sentences:
Simple Sentences:
Example: मैं स्कूल जा रहा हूँ (I am going to school).
Rhymes and Poems:
Learn and recite short rhymes and poems like:

5. Art and Craft:
Drawing:
