Chapter 1 Introduction
Exaquantum/ORM does not provide an OPC DA Server type for ExaOPC CAMS by default.
This document provides the necessary steps to configure a new OPC DA Server Type for
EXAOPC CAMS for use with Exaquantum/ORM.

1.1 Audience
This guide is intended for system integrators and administrators.

Chapter 2 Configuring an ExaOPC DA CAMS

OPC Server Type for use with
Exaquantum/ORM
2.1 Overview
Exaquantum provides the “OPC Server Type Wizard” tool located under Developer Tools in the
Exaquantum installation directory. It facilitates the creation, deletion, or modification of an OPC
Server Type.
Running the tool and pressing the “Next>” button on the welcome screen, the options to Create,
Modify and Delete are presented.
“Create”, allows the creation of a new OPC Server type. This will be the desirable option for creating
the new ExaOPC DA CAMS OPC Server Type for use with Exaquantum/ORM.
“Modify”, allows the modification of an existing OPC Server type and “Delete”, it’s deletion if no
associations to it exist.

2.2 Create the new OPC DA Server Type
1. Start up the OPC Server Type Wizard and press the “Next>” button on the welcome screen.

2. Select the Create Option and press the “Next>” button.

3. Enter the name of the new OPC Server type. In this case: ORM-STN-CAMS
4. Select the “Use Existing OPC Server Type as Template” option.
5. Select “ORM-Exaopc-STN” as the OPC Server Type from the drop-down list and press the
“Next>” button.

6. The configuration settings of the new OPC Server Type “ORM-STN-CAMS”, based on the
“ORM-ExaOPC-STN” OPC Server Type will appear in the next dialog.

7. Change “OPC – HDA Server ProgID” from “Yokogawa.ExaopcHDACS1” to
“Yokogawa.ExaopcHDAVPCAMS1” and press the “Next>” button.

8. On the summary dialog press the “Finish” button.

9. Follow the prompts to confirm successful creation and Exit the OPC Server Type Wizard
tool.

10. Restart the Exaquantum services to enable the new OPC Server Type.

2.3 Verify the new OPC DA Server Type
1. Start up the OPC Server Type Wizard and press the “Next>” button on the welcome screen.
2. Select the Modify Option and press the “Next>” button.

3. Select the previously added ORM-STN-CAMS OPC Server Type from the drop-down list.
