Q1 Morocco has high Know-How.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: Insufficient Information

Explanation:

a. Line 3 states that Morocco has low Capacity. Line 1 states that a country with a high
Development has low Capacity and high Know-How.

b. However, this does not work in reverse. This would be a deductive fallacy. Therefore,
we do not have enough information to assess this statement with demonstrable reason.

Q2 A country can have high values for Deployment, Development and Know-
How.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: True

Explanation:

a. Line 2 shows that a country, in this case Switzerland, can have both high
Development and Know-How.

b. Line 5 states that if a country has high Know-How it also has high
Deployment. Therefore, it is possible to have high values of those three
variables.

Q3 A country can have low Capacity and low Know-How.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: Insufficient Information

Explanation:

a. Line 3 states that a country with high Development has low Capacity but high
Know-How.

b. However, this does not mean that a country with low Capacity by definition
has high Know-How. Only a country with high Development inherits these
attributes. There are no other indicators for us to assess this statement.
Therefore, there is insufficient information.

Q4 If Kazakhstan has high Capacity then it has the same Development as
Switzerland.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: False

Explanation:

a. If Kazakhstan has high Capacity, then, as per line 1, it has low Deployment and low

Q5 Herbert needs to buy a ticket for himself and his colleague to get to the
Meeting. Which flights suit the needs and requirements of Herbert Slater?

a. I&I
b. II & III
c. III & IV
d. I & III
e. II & IV

Answer: II & IV

Explanation:

a. Buying the two tickets of Flight I while the cheapest, is not possible because the
meeting will start before they arrive. The other flights will work.

b. However, Flight III requires Gold club membership, which Herbert does not have.

c. Therefore, he must get Flight II and IV, both will arrive before the meeting, and are
under his budget when purchased together.

rescheduled 30 minutes before its original timeslot. Which flight should
Herbert take for the cheapest price?

a. I
b. II
c. III
d. IV

Answer: IV

Explanation:

a. Under these conditions, Flight II becomes untenable.

b. Flight III is out-of-bounds due to club membership requirements.

c. Flight I will take too long.

d. Flight IV will get there on time and is within the budget. Even though it is the most
expensive flight, it is the only possible flight that Herbert can take.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: True

Explanation:

a. Line 4 states that sound exists even if no one can hear it. Thus, we know that it exists.

b. Line 3 states that music is perceived from the sound. Therefore, one could hear music
if sound exists. Therefore, this statement is true.

Q9 The person hears music where sound exists.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: Insufficient Information

Explanation:

a. Line 3 states that music is perceived from sound and line 5 states that music and
sound are not the same thing.

b. To assume that people hear music where sound exists presumes that the sound is
perceived into music. One may not hear the sound. We cannot know from within the
clauses. Therefore, there is insufficient information.

Q10 The sound exists and the person cannot hear it.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

demonstrably false?

a. Spiders are sometimes mistakenly called insects.

b. Wasps are insects.
c. Lobsters are arthropods.
d. Wasps have two segments to their bodies.
e. Insects may have wings.

Answer: Wasps have two segments to their bodies.

Explanation:

a. The other statements are all provable via the passage. However, line 4 states that
insects are defined by having three segments to their bodies, not two. Therefore, this
is demonstrably false.

Q13 You need the Crystal key to open the Glass Door.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: False

Explanation:

a. While line 5 states that the Crystal key opens the Glass door, line 2 states that the
Glass door is a Portal.

b. Line 4 states that Portals are doors that can open without keys. Therefore, the Glass
door can open without keys, in this case the Crystal key, and as such this statement is
false.

Q14 The Black Key can open the Metal Door.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: False

Explanation:

a. This question asks which statement we cannot know based on the information
provided by the passage.

b. Line 3 states that the Black key can open all the doors, save the one opened using
the Golden key, which line 1 states is the Metal door. Therefore, the Black key
cannot open the Metal door and as such this statement is false.

Q15 There are the same number of keys as there are doors.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: Insufficient Information

Explanation:

a. By scanning the lines, we can note that there are: the Golden key, the Black key and
the Crystal key = 3.

b. And there are: the Metal door, the Glass door, and the Steel door = 3.
However, doors than can open without keys are Portals. Glass Door is a portal, but
doors that can open without keys are portals. This suggests other doors not explicitly
stated but we cannot say.
Therefore, they both have insufficient information.

Q16 Only the Metal Door can be opened with one key.

a. True
b. False
c. Insufficient Information

Answer: True

Explanation:

a. Line 1 states that the Metal door is opened using only the Golden key.

b. Line 3 states that the Black key can open all doors except the Metal door. Therefore,
it can open the Steel door and the Glass door.

c. Line 5 states that the Crystal key opens up the Steel door and the Glass door.
Therefore, the Steel and Glass doors can be opened up using 2 keys.

d. However, the Metal door can only be opened using 1 key, the Golden key. Therefore,
this statement is true.

c. Home Farm
d. Fairwater Grove
e. Castle Road

your tax pay increase by?

a. £0
b. £175
c. £225
d. £400
e. £620

served 10 minutes before Mains, hence 10 minutes.

b. Line 4 states that Olives are Starters. However, we do not have information on
when the meals begin to be served, only in relation to a main being served.
Therefore, it is insufficient information.

b. Line 5 states that they take 20 minutes. Line 2 states that Mains take twice as long as
Starters, hence 10 minutes.

c. Line 4 states that Salad are Starters. Salad then takes 10 minutes to service and Pizza
could either be 10 or 20 depending on whether it is a Starter or a Main, which is not
mentioned. Therefore, we cannot know which this is and thus the statement is
insufficient information.

Q22 If Pizza was served as a Starter, Pasta could be served 20 minutes later.

a. True
b. False
