4.2.3 IN-SERVICE BEARING ALLOWABLE PLAY:

During maintenance, in case an abnormal bearing play is suspected; please refer to following guidance
for continued operation of the MLG door actuator:

 Up to a play of 0.7 mm  acceptable to continue operation without further actions.

 Play above 0.7 mm and below 1 mm  replace actuator within 500 FC.

 Play above 1 mm  replace actuator within 50 FC.

NOTE: Play measurement procedure for “on-wing” and “off wing” in available in Airbus ISI Ref.
32.31.00076.

5. FURTHER INFORMATION:

5.1 FOLLOW-UP PLAN:

As mitigation, Airbus is currently working at defining an alternate bearing standard to address premature
MLG door actuator eye end bearing play. Availability of this mitigation is planned by end of first quarter
2015.

Technical follow up of this issue will be available in Airbus TFU 32.31.00.031

5.2 IMPACTED DOCUMENTATION:

A specific MPD task applicable to MLG door actuator PN 114122014 will be introduced in MPD to
reduce the greasing interval.
