Unit 1 Study Guide

Biology 1 Honors
You can either do this electronically or complete this on a sheet of paper. You will show me a completed
study guide the day of the test. DONE ON PAPER
Suggestions on how to use this study guide:
Note that copying and pasting answers is not going to help you retain information. Handwriting answers will help you
much more than typing or copy & pasting.
A. First, answer questions that you know.
○ Mark these in a color (such as green) to know that you feel good about it, and check your answers later.
○ If you ended up getting it wrong, mark it in red!
B. Second, answer questions that you think you know but you are not sure of the answer.
○ Mark these in a color (such as yellow) telling yourself to go back and check.
○ When you go back and check, make a note (a written note, changing the color) about if
you got it right or wrong.
C. Third, find questions that you do not know the answer to.
○ Mark these in a color (such as red) so you can prioritize them for your studying.
○ Look up and find the answers.

Prioritize them according to your color scheme: red first, then yellow, then green. That way you focus on
what you need to study, instead of studying what you already know.
