This course provides knowledge and skills to future marine engineers officers regarding the safe and efficient of

The standard classroom size shall be a minimum of 48 square meters, no side shall be less than 6
meters for a class of 40 students. Classroom must be well-lighted and well-ventilated. It should contain

Assessment will be given in the form of formative assessment (Quizzes, Recitation, and
Assignment/Research/Term Paper) and summative assessment (Periodical/Major Exam) as specified in the
Assessment
Grading System of JCMMC No. 01, s. 2023. The said assessment must be reviewed, validate by the Dean of
BSMarE and approved by the VPAA. The standard passing grade is not less than 60%.
The College, consistent with applicable and/or existing Regulations required by CHED-MARINA, adopts the
Resit conduct of Appeals and Resits to be administered. Appeals and Resits is/are applicable to periodic
(Retaking a failed summative assessment/examination only (written or practical), as well as the corresponding grade/s derived from said
examination) assessment/examination. For resits, it is regulated and administered as written in the student handbook of the
institution (pages 12-13).
