6.3 Storage:
All conduits shall be stored with proper ground clearance and protection.
All the materials procured on site should be along with test certificates. Physical inspection should be
done for every batch of material delivered and MIR should be ensured.
Ensure all GFC approved drawings, Schematics, DB Schedules are in place for the work area.
Take appropriate Permits / Clearances for installation of materials and usage of machines as
required.
Marking of the points and route shall be done before start of the work.
Wherever necessary bends or diversion may be achieved by bending using bending spring. No
heating of conduits allowed.
Junction boxes shall be placed on either side of coupler at 300mm away from the fittings.
Wall chasing to be done as per the approved drawing routing by wall chasing machine in Zig Zag
manner and use of Scrubber to remove the wall chases.
After wall chasing install the conduits and with proper steel hooks / staples at regular intervals not
exceeding 600mm.
Support of Exposed conduits on each side of bends and on linear spacing not to Exceed
1.50m.
Chicken mesh shall be provided if the chasing width is more than 75mm.
Install pull wires through the conduits for pulling wires later on.
Seal the ends of the conduits with proper PVC end caps to prevent clogging with debris. Unused
outlets of Junction boxes shall be closed with end plugs.
Separate conduit shall be provided for sockets, lights, FAS, CCTV, Telephone and each low voltage
systems.
Draw boxes shall be located at convenient location for easy pulling of wires.
Every mains and sub mains shall run in independent conduits with an independent earth wire of
specified capacity along the entire length of conduit.
