New Delhi, the 15th June, 2008

No. Lcgal/42(3)/87.-In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (3) of Section 16 and
sub-section (2) of Section 17 read with sub-section (4) of Section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of
Pollution) Act, 1974 (Act 6 of 1974) alongwith rule 28 ofthe Water (Preve'ntion and Control of Pollution) Rules,
1975, and under sub-section (3) of Section 16 of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 (Act 14 of
1981), the Central Pollution Control Board has established the Board's Laboratories at the places mentioned in
Schedule L

2. The fee payable to the Central Pollution Control Board Laboratories in-respect of
each report of analysis for variou~ analytical parameters and sampling charges for the
water, wastewater, soil, hazardous waste, air/fugitive emissions, source emission, noise
monitoring, auto exhaust monitoring and ambient air quality monitoring shall be as per
Schedule II : Schedule of sampling and analysis charges for Environmental Samples.

3. The fee prescribed under Schedule II will be subject to revision.

4. This notification shall come into force w.eJ. 1.4.2008
