speed for complete and low-noise data. The equipment performs 360-degree scanning
around the patient, collects projection data in all directions, weights the projection
data, performs one-dimensional line filtering, and then obtains three-dimensional
volume image through back-projection processing according to the geometric
relationship of the system imaging. The FDK algorithm is used to image the
three-dimensional anatomical structure information of different parts of the dental
cavity, and can be used for dental clinical applications such as dental implantation and
dental diagnosis.
The computer (including the monitor) is provided by the user. Workstation software

The main functions of DentaFilm dental CBCT software image management module
include patient management, image storage, and image printing.
The interaction between the software and the user is basically completed with the
mouse and keyboard, and the relevant operations are explained as below.
1. Explanation of mouse operation:

DentaFilm Dental CBCT Software image management module includes the following
functions:
Patient management: Manage patient information, including patient appointments,
8
User Manual
This part mainly explains how to check a patient through the image management
module of DentaFilm dental CBCT software. Before starting examination operations,
make sure that the device has been connected to the computer appropriately and the
debugging has been completed.
DentaFilm dental CBCT software image management module is the the main part of
the interaction between the Dental Cone-Beam Computed Tomography and the user.
Start the software (this software can be set for starting automatically), then a login
dialog box will be pop up, as shown below:
Enter user name and password correctly in the dialog box, then click on "OK" . If you
do not want to run the software, click on "Close" to exit. (If you do not know your
password, please consult your software administrator.)

After login successful, the software main interface will appear as below shows:
After login successful, the software shows its main interface. Before starting image
acquisition, the patient and examination information corresponding to the image shall
be confirmed. The patient information may be sourced from local registration or RIS
registration. There are two ways to register patient information:
1. Enter patient information in the “Management" interface:
Select "Management" in the main interface to enter the patient management
interface, as shown below:

1. Entry way
In the patient management interface, the user executes "New Patient" to
complete the registration and create new collection for the patient.
The user selects the unchecked patient record in the patient management
interface and clicks on "Examination" icon. As shown in the figure:
12
User Manual
When some examination is ongoing, the user cannot be logged off. Please close all
examinations before logging off the user.
In the software main interface, after clicking on "Close", user login dialog box will
appear and the user can click on "OK" to exit the software. If a new user is added and
intended to be log on as this user, the software needs to be restarted.

enter the "sleep" status to reduce power consumption if they are not used in a few
minutes.
There are two following steps to shut down the software safely. It is recommended to
follow up below steps in turn to shut down the software.
1. Turn off the dental cone-beam computed tomography.
2. Shut down the computer.

Click on to enter the image export interface. Image export is divided into file
export and disc burning.
Formats supported for data export include: DCMDIR, DCM, BMP.
First click on "..." to select the export location, then select the export format, and click
"Export" to execute the export.
In the DCMDIR format, the file will be stored in the folder named "volume label"
under the target file.
In the DCMIMG, BMP format, the file will be stored in the folder named "patient
name-examination number" under the target folder.
Note: If the patient list is selected currently, the images of all selected patients
will be disc burned or exported. If the examination list is selected currently, only
the images related to the selected examination will be disc burned or exported.
Double-click a specific image to enter the image browsing module, see 5 for detailed
description of the image browsing module.

The panoramic TMJ mode is suitable for the temporomandibular joint. The
temporomandibular joint is also known as the “TMJ” or “mandibular joint”. It is
composed of the mandibular head, the mandibular fossa of temporal bone and
articular tubercle. It allows opening, closing, and a side to side movement of the
mouth. The TMJ needs to observe two kinds of images in the opening and closing
of the mouth, so two shooting processes are required.
2. Set the appropriate dose and select the dental arch. Refer to 4.1 CT acquisition for
details of shooting dose setting.
3. Click on "Set Up" icon, the machine enters the preparation state, and the
"machine state" is displayed as "Machine in preparation", as shown below.

All DICOM data in the Z-axis direction is sampled along the panoramic dental arch
line to form a space surface, and then the space surface is stretched to form a
two-dimensional plane panorama. The panoramic image can reflect the upper and
lower dental arches and their surrounding structures, and is an important tool for
evaluating the presence or absence, morphological structure, eruption sequence and
spatial relationship of tooth.
The slice image refers to the image that is cut from the vertical direction along the
currently selected position of the dental arch line. The default selected position is the
midpoint of the dental arch line. The slice image is used by the doctor to observe the
image details around the dental arch line. There will be multiple slice images due to
multiple tangent lines in the software. For example, to observe the internal details of
tooth, it is necessary to use the slice image to divide the tooth into multiple slices, and
observe the status and changes of each slice.
User can manually draw the panoramic dental arch line. Click the "manual curved
