PUSH UP CALCULATION BASED ON EXPERIMENT CARRIED OUT IN FRENCH RAILWAY
Formula Used: p2=p1x{(n2xs2xd2/t2xa2)/(n1xs1xd1/t1xa1)}
Where-
p1= Measured Push up with three pantographs with approximate seperation of 15.2 m at 100kmph
n1= Number of Pantograph used=3
a1=Effective Cross Section of OHE(cross section of Catenary wire + Contact wire)=172 sq. mm
s1=Speed of locomotive =100 kmph
d1=Span (27 m to 72 m)
t1 = tension in Contac wire = 1000 kgf
p2=Calculated Push up
n2=Number of Pantograph used
a2=Effective Cross Section of OHE(cross section of Catenary wire + Contact wire)
s2=Speed of locomotive
d2=Span
t2=tension in contact wire
