ACTIVITY NO. 7
THREATENED SPECIES IN THE PHILIPPINES
Objective:
To identify and describe some of the threatened species of flora and fauna in the Philippines
To appreciate the value of biodiversity and its conservation

Materials:
photos/ pictures of endangered, vulnerable and threatened Philippine flora and fauna

Procedure:
1. Search the internet for pictures and related information of critically endangered, endangered and
vulnerable species of animals and plants in the Philippines. Each group will be assigned to specific group of
organisms and each group member should contribute at least 2 examples of threatened organisms with
corresponding information required in the given table below. (Group 1: mammals; Group 2: birds;
Group 3: reptiles; Group 4: amphibians; Group 5: fishes and marine mammals; Group 6: plants
Group 7: invertebrates (insects, spiders, mollusks, coral, crustaceans)
2. Using the data obtained, complete the sample table and answer the given questions (Note: The number
of tables per threatened organism may vary depending on the number of members per group. atleast 2
organisms per member, no duplication.)
