Research Title The Effects Of Organizational Speed Bumps On Managerial Job Performance and Morale.
Introduction When dealing with managers in real life managers look upon real life examples and research such as these help managers control, plan and manage. Management practices focus more on dynamics between groups, which allow managers more flexibility in making decisions and helps employees function together as a unit in an organization and maintain the status quo in times of speed bumps too. Changes in the organization such as relocations, reorganization, mergers, joint ventures, downsizing, people and process oriented changes are occurring day to day (Monica Sharif Terri A. Scandura).Human resource till today stands to be the most essential tool of an organization. When employees working for the organizations fulfill their roles and responsibilities, organizations grow and thrive (Ivanitskaya). Today more than ever organizations need to engage employees. Rapid changing markets, disruptive technologies, and opportunities available to managers have forced organizations to re-examine the connections between business leadership, satisfaction and job performance. For firms to bring about changes it first needs to engage its employees, for it to result in better organizational performance and profitability. In developing countries employees have been known to quit their jobs whenever a change has been brought about. This is mainly because they havent been engaged substantially. Change remains to be an intimidating fact because employees remain worried about the future direction of the organization as well as their roles. Perhaps the speed bumps do not just affect the job performance but work-related satisfaction is a major component of satisfaction with life. As employees of an organization get self motivation, the organizational effectiveness moves in a positive direction.
Statement of Problem To study the effects of organizational speed bumps on managerial job performance and morale.
The variable on the left side of the model is the independent variable (Organizational Speed Bumps) and on the right side are the variables that are effected by the independent variable. The reasons that create hindrances in the organization can be of many types mainly the policies that the organization follows, the psyche of the people working in the organization, the way of performing tasks and the processes involved, tools and technology that the organization uses etc. The study will be conducted on the variables that create organizational speed bumps and its relation with managerial job performance and managers morale.
