THANK YOU!

I sincerely appreciate your support

HOW IT ALL BEGAN…

My teaching story begins way back in my playroom where I would sit behind an old
junkyard desk, creating activities for my “students”.
Fast forward 20 something years and I became newly married and a first year teacher
all in the same year. To say I was overwhelmed by all that was expected of me and the
WIDE range of students I had in my classroom, would be an understatement.
I quickly realized that there was so much 4 years of college hadn’t prepared me for. I
began creating activities to supplement the dated curriculum we were given. I found ways
to differentiate and engage those students who needed a little extra “something”
Now, grab some coffee (or whatever your drink of choice is) and let’s work together.
My goal is to simplify your life as a teacher by providing you with activities that engage
your students, but don’t take your whole Sunday evening to put together.

A SPECIAL TREE FOR CHRISTMAS

Each year, Nicholas got extra excited for Christmas. Christmas had always been his
favorite holiday, but this year would be even more special because his parents told
him they would go to a Christmas tree farm and pick out a real Christmas tree. Mom
and Dad thought going and choosing a real tree would be an exciting thing to do as a
family.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, the family loaded up in Dad’s truck and headed to
the local tree farm. When they arrived, Nicholas was amazed at how many Christmas
tree he saw. They walked around for a bit, looking closely at each tree, until Nicholas
spotted the perfect one! Quickly, he walked towards the tree with big, green
branches and a top perfect to hold a star. It was tall, but not too tall so that it would
still fit in the house. Mom and Dad looked the tree over and then agreed that this was
isn fact, the one.
After loading the large tree onto the truck, the family went home to decorate it.
Dad had to ask for help from the neighbor to bring the tree inside, because it was so
heavy. Once the tree was inside, Nicholas noticed the smell it gave off. He loved it! It
smelled exactly as he thought Christmas should! Dad hung lights all around the
branches while Mom
opened the bin with all of the ornaments. Dad and Nicholas
carefully hung the ornaments onto the tree. The last step to
decorating the tree was the star Dad placed on top. This
particular star had been in Nicholas’ family for many years
and it was always Dad’s favorite part of their Christmas
tree. When the decorating was complete, the family
stepped back to admire their work. Nicholas couldn’t
wait to see it lit up at night. .
After the sun set that evening, Dad called the family
into the living room to announce that he would light
the tree. Mom and Nicholas counted down, “3, 2, 1!”
And then the tree was lit! Nicholas thought it was the
best Christmas tree they'd ever had. He couldn’t wait
to enjoy it for the rest of the season.
