A Detailed Lesson Plan in English 8

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students will:
1. Identify the opinion marking signal in the sentence;
2. listen to others opinion with respect; and
3. use opinion-marking signals to share ideas.

II. Subject matter

Topic: Opinion-Marking Signals

Reference: English 8 quarter 2, Module 3
Materials: Tarpapel, TV, and laptop

Everybody, please stand for the prayer.

Giving opinion is really important especially in our


preference in choosing the one we like, the one we want,
most especially the one we love forever.

What is Fact?

Opinion-marking signals are words or phrases used to


show feelings, emotions and
attitude towards something. They are helpful clues in the
forms of words and phrases that
assist us in identifying opinion statement. They are found (student reads the sentence/phrase)
mostly at the beginning of the
sentences. They introduce one’s opinion.

people have about subject or topic.

Opinion. It is very important to learn this topic so that we
will not conform on those fake news that we read
especially in social media. Also, let us always remember
that we should respect others’ opinions. And before we
give our opinion, we should think many times before
saying or doing it. “Think before you click.”
