INAUGURATION 2019-2020

16th Inauguration function of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of education had


been contacted on 19.08.2019 in our college auditorium. The principal gave welcomed to
the chief gust. Then the founder - chairman delivered the presidential address. Keynote
address about "Awareness of Anti Ragging and importance of education” has been given by
honorable Thiru D. Lingeshwaran,M.A.,B.L Principal District Judge,Principal District &
Session Court, Perambalur.felicitation address about “ Punishments under Indian Penal Code
against acts of Ragging” Thirumathi. M.Vinodha B.A.,M.L, Subordinate judge,Subcourt
,Perambalur. Delivered vote of thanks has been given by Principal.
BRIDGE COURSE PROGRAMME 2019-2020

Bridge course program has been conducted in our college on 06.09.2019. The chief guest
Dr.R.Saravanan Assistant Professor, Department of Education, arrived from Tamilnadu Teacher
education university in chennai. He has been given briefly explained about How to be an
Inspirational Teacher? Have Empathy, Develop a Positive Mental Attitude, 'Grow' your Verbal
Skills, Show Respect, Remember that your students are Individuals, Know that teaching is a
noble profession.

BRIDGE COURSE PROGRAMME 2019-2020

Bridge course program has been conducted in our college on 09.09.2019. The chief guest
Mr.V.Radhakrishnan Vocational Teacher, Government Higher Secondary School in Chettikulam. He
has been given briefly explained about “Teacher’s are role modal” Teachers follow students
through each pivotal stage of development. At six to eight hours a day, five days a week, you as
a teacher are poised to become one of the most influential people in your students’ life. After
their parents, children will first learn from you, their elementary school teacher. Then, as
a middle school teacher, you will guide students through yet another important transition:
adolescence. As children become young adults, learning throughout middle school and into high
school, you will answer their questions, listen to their problems and teach them about this new
phase of their lives. You not only watch your students grow you help them grow.
COMPARING FOR SANITATION PRACTICE - DOOR TO DOOR AWARENESS FOR
USING A TOILET AND HAND WASHING

Our students teachers has been conducted door to door awareness meeting for sanitation
behaviours 11.7 .2019 at keelakanavai village. Our college assistant professor to lead above 40
student teacher about door to door awareness meeting for sanitation behaviours. We have applied
to push approach in the campaign where instead of calling people in to our knowledge space, we
have pushed that knowledge space in to their homes through our door to door approach.

Hands should be washed:

 After using the restroom.


 After coughing, sneezing or using a tissue.
 Before and during food preparation.
 If changing from raw to ready to eat food preparation.
 Before meals, snacks or refreshment.
 After eating, drinking or using tobacco.
 After handling or touching pets or other animals.
 As often as necessary to remove contamination.
 After any activity that might soil the hands.
CAMPARIGN OF SANITATION PRACTICES - HEALTH AND HYGIENE AWAENESS
PROGRAMME

Our students teachers has been organize awareness for sanitation practices on 11.7 .2019 at
keelakanavai village. Our student teacher campaign around better sanitation practices, our task is
to spread the awareness among rural area. Health and Hygiene Awareness Programme. The
purpose of the program was to sensitise the community about the importance of healthy habits
and hygienic measures to prevent infections and to promote good health.
SANITATION AWARNESS - RALLY (SWACHHATA HI SEVA -2019)

Our students teachers has been conduct sanitation awareness rally on 11.7 .2019 at keelakanavai
village.. The purpose of the program was to sensitize the students about the importance of
healthy diet and hygienic measures to prevent infections and promote better health. Our Student
Teachers in the rally carried placards stressing the need for maintaining public sanitation
following efficient solid waste management principles, creating awareness on public hygiene,
sense of cleanliness and the need to educate the masses on health and sanitation aspects.
WALL PAINTING IN PUBLIC PLACES - THEME OF SWACHH BHATA

Our students teachers has been draw wall painting in public places awareness of swachh
bharat on 11.7 .2019 at keelakanavai village. The drawing related to demerit of open toilet, how
to use the toilet, Sewage disposal process.

TEACHERS DAY

Teachers' day has been celebrated on 05.09.2019 in our College. Student Teacher The
gathering Chief gust, Principal and all faculty members with traditional method of inviting. The
students planned and executed the programme which started with the Tamiltaivazhthu by the
students. The Principal delivered the presidential address. Keynote address about “The best
teachers always teach from the heart and not from only the books.” to Student Teachers has
been given by respectable chief gust R.Sundharajan M.Sc, M.Ed, M.phil
Headmaster,Government higher secondary school in Perambalur.Teacher’s day speech delivered
by the Student teacher Followed by all Cultural activities ,such as Telling Kavithai,Sung a Song
and Dance performance.Also Student teacher’s organized Debat in the tittle of “For the
Advancement of Women The Family or Society that largely supports it”.The studentTeacher
had organized a number of fun games for the teachers which were thoroughly enjoyed and
appreciated. The Principal and faculty members were overwhelmed by the efforts and love
shown by the students.
POOJA CELEBRATION

Our College celebrated Ayudha Pooja and saraswatti pooja on 4th October 2019, by arranging in our
college. On this special day, all the Laboratories and Office were beautified with plantain trees, mango leaves
and glazing papers followed by a pooja in the presence of Principal, faculties and Student teachers.
NATIONAL UNITY DAY
National Unity Day 2019 is being celebrated on 31st of October, Thursday by the people all
over India. It is celebrated as 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.The day is
observed to commemorate the efforts of Sardar Patel in the integration of post independence
Indian dominion. This year National Unity Day was celebrated on Thursday, 31st October. This
year’s theme of National Unity Day was “Bring the Nation Together, United in Times of Strife and
Rising Extremism”.
Senior cabinet ministers and leaders of opposition paid their due respect to Sardar Patel and
remembered his exceptional administrative skills and foresight, which laid the foundation of the
administrative system of modern India, as we see today.
ARTS AND CRAFT

Craft Expo has been organized by our college on 09. 11.2019. Student teacher Craft Expo
is known for its one of a kind work of the highest quality: Ceramics, Wearable and Non-
Wearable Fiber, Metal and Non-Metal Jewelry, Glass, Leather, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting,
Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture and Wood. Items range from decorative to functional and
traditional to contemporary. All work presented at Craft Expo is handmade by the artists, all of
whom have been accepted in the show by a panel of professional peers, thereby ensuring only
the highest quality in workmanship, design and materials. A craft activity for student teacher has
been attending the show, faculty and student teacher craft demos, and the chance to bid on
donated craft pieces at the shows annual silent auction.
YOGA

Yoga world day has been conducted on 21.11.2019 in our college Dhanalakshmi Srinivasna
group of institution, Yoga and exercise is a healthy, rejuvenating and a joyful experience! It compiles a
series of simple and complex yoga postures and breathing techniques, which help to bring about a balance
in the body and mind. The program provides a multi-dimensional routine with includes Yoga postures,
Breathing techniques, Yogic knowledge and Meditation, which gives the students a complete take home
practice. It is a complete package for beginners as well as regular practitioners and has something for
every one of all age groups.

Yoga is physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that aim to transform body
and mind. Depends on the philosophical or theological system with which it is conjugated.
Techniques are controlling the body and the mind. Yoga is analysis of perception and cognition,
the rising and expansion of consciousness, path to omniscience.
NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY

National Education Day was celebrated on 28.11.2019 in our College.


Mr.P.Ravikumar, Asst .Professor delivered a Welcome speech. Dr.K.Santhakumarai,
Principal, Presided Over the function and delivered a valuable speech about the origin of
National Education day- in the remembrance of Dr.Moulana Abul Kalam Azad. Felicitation
address given by Mr.G.Baskaran, Professor from Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan college of
education.

Also, we conducted a debate Programme regarding ," As present education methods Boon
or curse". Our students eagerly participated in this programme and they expressed their
thought about Boon or Curse as present education method.

Many of them participated in Tamil and English elocution about Dr.Moulana Abul Kalam Azad
and his contribution to education. Finally, Mr.M.Senthil, Asst .Professor delivered the vote
of thanks.
TECHNOLOGY IN HAND - PREPARATION OF E-CONTENT

eLearning is learning utilizing electronic technologies to access educational curriculum


outside of a traditional classroom. In most cases, it refers to a course, program or degree
delivered completely online. Teacher-created digital stories may also be used to enhance current
lessons within a larger unit, as a way to facilitate discussion about the topics presented a story
and as a way of making abstract or conceptual content more understandable. While many
educators still lack a cohesive plan for integrating multimedia into their instruction, a growing
number of teachers are interested in exploring ways to engage their students by including
images, audio and video elements in their instruction. Research has shown that the use of
multimedia in teaching helps students retain new information as well as aids in the
comprehension of difficult material. And Digital Storytelling can provide educators with a
powerful tool to use in their classrooms.

sense of cleanliness and the need to educate the masses on health and sanitation aspects.

Pongal Celebration

Thai Pongal festival has been celebrated by Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of


Education’s pupils on 10.01.2020 in DSCE. Honorable chief gust founder - chairman arrived and
celebrated together with renaissance to pupil. The cultural event and verity of competition has
been conducted by pupil.
EXTRA ACTIVITIES - INNOVATIVE SCHOOLS

Innovative Schools are getting ready to greet key decision-makers from around the world,
who will visit their schools to experience first-hand how these highly recognized schools have
successfully implemented technology to support world-class learning environments. Our student
teachers visited Gowthama buthar dem and deaf high school at Perambalur and House hope school
at Senjeri on 22.1.2020.

NATIONAL VOTERS DAY-PLEDGE

National Voters Day has been conducted on 25th January 2020 in our college. Principal,Dr.
K.Santhakumari addressed college students about the relevance and importance of celebrating this
day and encourage them to participate in the electoral process. All college staff members and
Student Teacher’s had taken Voters Pledge , to uphold the democratic traditions of our country
and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections.
NATIONAL VOTERS DAY-RALLY

A rally to create awareness on duty and right of voting on 25 th January, 2020. the
objective of this rally is to create a platform to engage student-teachers in spreading awareness
regarding the responsibility of common people to exercise their right of voting. it is done through
interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitize the voters on their electoral rights and
familiarize them with the electoral process of registration and voting. awareness rally aimed at
strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters.

PLASTIC-FREECAMPUS

1. Title of the practice:


Plastic Free Campus
2. The context that the required initiation of the practice
Areal education for the students is to make them a good citizen who lives, love and
care for the environment, as it is basis for the life. Nowadays, plastics have become major
pollutants that affect the entire ecosystem.
In our campus, there was a large-scale littering of plastic articles in the past because
of the huge student population. These include plastic bags, cups, chocolate wrappers and
plastic sheets. Also, there was no proper waste management system for these kinds of bio-
non-degradable m a t e r i a l . Hence, the college took the initiative to solve this problem in a
phased manner. Also, the campus will indeed look more beautiful and green if this is done.
3. Objectives of the Practice:
 The primary objective of the program, “Plastic–Free-Campus is to develop
plastic-free-campus.
 It will help the students to become involved citizens who can manage and protect
their own environment.
 It improves the responsibility of the students to build a safe environment.
 It creates awareness among students about the hazards of plastics.
 To educate the students about the good ways of managing the disposal of plastic.
4. The Practice:
The hazards of plastic area complex one and it are one that requires cooperation from
all the students and staff members of the institute. The usage of plastic articles cannot best
appeal together, but there capacity is good ways minimizing their use and managing their
disposal in an environment friendly manner.
To tackle this problem, the college has implemented the following practice:
• Plastic items are prohibited inside the campus
• Large number of dustbins is provided at many locations in the campus
• The dustbins installed are cleared regularly by the attendees.
•The canteen staffs were instructed to use paper cups and plates instead of plastic cups
and plates.
5. Impact of the practice:
• Plastic goods are not used by our students inside the campus.
• Paper cups and plates are used in canteen.
•Awareness regarding hazards f plastic has-been created among students.

the provision of dustbins have been provided by the college.

LESSONPLAN PRACTICES
Planning ahead helps to reach the goal. This is the first step in any process and education
is no exception. In education, the lesson plan serves as a preparation tool that makes the
teaching-learning process easy and effective. It tells clearly the objectives to be achieved, the
teaching methods, instructional aids and evaluation techniques in the instructional hours. It helps
the teachers create a smooth instructional flow and scaffold instruction for learners. So a three
day special programme on lesson plan writing was given to the first year student teachers by
their respective optional teachers from 29 th January 2020.

in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of education. 100 mts, 800mts, Long jump, Shot put, javelin
throw, 4X100 mts relay. Founder -chairman has given delivered the presidential address and
initiate the sports competition. The chief gust Dr.M.Soundararajan arrived from teacher
educational university Chennai. Our college students had participated and got overall
championship. Overall and Individual Championship Received by: Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan
College of Educaion, Perambalur.

SCIENCE DAY
The Science day has been celebrated on 28.02.2020 in our College. Honorable chief guest
Mr.T. Kaliyamoorthi arrived from PT assistant G.H.S.S Chettikulam. He delivered a valuable
speech about “Today Science”. He told widely spread a message about the significance of
scientific applications in the daily life of the people, to display all the activities efforts and
achievements in the field of science for welfare of human being, to discuss all the issues and
implement new technologies for the development of the science and also emphasized on the
shortcut method and correlated studies to student-teachers to learn science.
SCIENCE EXPITION – 28-02-2020

Science is a very interesting subject. Science has a great opportunity to create creativity
and activeness among the students, but in many schools it is taught by a traditional way and
teachers do not try to make it creative and interesting. Here students get a chance to apply or do
the practical aspect of the things that they have learned from classroom and adequate space and
time for letting the inner talents get a platform to be showcased. All the projects of students are
properly judged and evaluated by expert panel and select the best project and those teams are
recognised by cash prize.
RALLY FOR THUIMAI BHARATHAM

Our students’ teachers had organized for the rally an awareness programme for
CLEAN INDIA in pommanabody date on 7.03.2020. Supporting urban local bodies in
designing, executing and operating waste disposal systems .Clean village is the need of the
hour. Garbage and wastes are serious threats facing the village. It certainly destroys the aesthetic
beauty of our village. Furthermore, several diseases can result from it. Many villagers fall ill due
to improper waste disposal.
TECHNOLOGY IN HAND PREPARATI
On the path to personalizing learning, technology empowers students by giving them
ownership of how they learn, making education relevant to their digital lives and preparing
them for their futures. With technology and access to resources beyond classroom walls,
students are inspired to become problem-solvers, critical thinkers, collaborators, and creators.
Where technology has been successfully integrated into classrooms, students develop a
lifelong love of learning.Educators are always striving to personalize learning for students.
Technology can help them reach new levels with access to real-time student data, longitudinal
information, content, apps, and more. Technology can help educators create blended learning
environments and leverage digital tools for formative and summative assessments, bringing
new models for learning and teaching to classrooms.
Reading and Reflecting on Texts

The aim of the professional capacity of a student-teacher, specifically reading and writing
skills. To enhance the reading ability of student-teachers, we conducted skill development
programme on 4.3.2020.To give the development of skills for student-teachers, right at the
school level, is very essential to channelise them for proper job opportunities. There should be a
balanced growth in all the sectors.
CORONA VIRUS AWARENESS RALLY

Our Student have been organized the “Corona virus awareness rally” and awareness notice
distributed to the public in Settikulam village date on 7.03.2020. Our students had explained as
regards Corona virus through to public, what are the corona virus symptoms, how is spread and
how can control corona virus. Corona virus is a respiratory disease which seems to start with a
fever, followed by a dry cough. After a week, it leads to shortness of breath and some patients
require hospital treatment. These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness. They
are similar to those for much more common viruses, such as colds and flu.
FOOD FESTIVAL

A food festival conducted in dhanalakshmi srinivasan college of education


from perambalur. The honurable chief guest on Mr.Agri.Senthilkumar from
Organic Modal form Andimadam.Mrs.Radhika Social Worker. Food festival is a
estival, usually held annually, that uses food, often produce, as its central theme in
Traditional Food. The event was brought up to create awareness of healthy eating
habits and the importance of using the traditional farm produce.The people have
unfortunately forgotten the traditional food items and the festival brought them to
the public.
ORGANIC FOOD AWARENESS PROGRAME

An organic food awareness programe conducted in dhanalakshmi srinivasan


college of education from perambalur. The honurable chief guest on
Mr.Agri.Senthilkumar from Organised for Organic Modal form
Andimadam.Mrs.Radhika from Social Worker.

The valuable speech in Organic provides a “healthy life” to consumers by


providing healthy food. it gives assurance that toxic persistent pesticides, synthetic
fertilizers or genetically modified organisms are not used in production, and
antibiotics or growth hormones are not given livestock.
