RULES & GUIDANCE FOR THE CANDIDATES
1. The examination will commence on the date according to the Programme previously notified.
2. Doors of the Examination Hall will be opened before 1 (one) hour on the first day of commencement of examination, and before 15 (fifteen) minutes
on succeeding days.
3. Entry to the Examination Hall shall be restricted to Admit Card holders only.
4. Candidates are required to produce their Admit Cards and Registration Receipts to sign their names as and when directed by the Officer-in- Charge.
5. Candidates must take their seats at least 5 minutes before the commencement of the examination. No candidate will be admitted to the Hall without the
special permission of the Officer-in Charge once the question papers were distributed. In no case will a candidate be admitted or, given a question
paper, more than 15 minutes after the examination has commenced.
6. Candidates are required to fill in all the entries clearly and correctly in the box provided on the cover page of the Answer Book and on each Additional
Script used by them. They have to write on both sides of the paper. Additional Script will be provided only when the Answer Book is full.
7. Candidates are required to provide themselves with their own pens and pencils. Only ball pen with blue or black ink must be used for writing answer
Squared papers for answering questions on Graphs will be supplied by the University.
8. Candidates are forbidden to carry into the Examination Hall or have in their possession while under examination such electronic devices as scientific
calculator/cellular/mobile phone/tablet etc, printed materials such as book/ scribbling except University Registration Card/Admit Card and any other
counter band items for smoking. Any forbidden article camed into the Examination Hall or found in the possession of a candidate in contravention of
this rule shall be liable to be seized by the Officer-in-Charge and the candidate shall be liable for expulsion.
9. Leaving the Examination Hall before one (1) hour from the beginning of Examination is not allowed Acandidate may with the special permission of the
Officer-in-Charge, leave the Examination Hall temporarily for nature's call or on emergency only, but only under the surveillance of a trust- worthy
person to be deputed by the Officer-in-Charge Except as mentioned above, no candidate will be allowed to re-enter the Examination Hall during the
hours of examination once he/she submitted the Answer Book to the invigilator.
10. Candidates must hand over their Answer Books, even if blank, to an invigilator before leaving the Examination Hall. Answer Book must not be torn or
mutilated in any way.
11. Candidates, while under examination, shall not seek help from or give help to any other candidate. Communication of any sort or in any form is strictly
forbidden between a candidate and any other person whether inside or outside the Examination Hall.
12. Candidates are required to observe strictly any other rules laid down by the University for conduct of examinations Candidates are warned that any
attempt to use any unfair means at the examination, or any breach or attempted breach of these or other examination rules, will render them able to
expulsion by the Officer-in-Charge from the examination as any part thereof, and to such further penalties as the Executive Council may determine.
13. Notwithstanding the issue of the Admit Card the Executive Council shall have the right, for any reason which may appear to them sufficient to cancel
the admission of any candidate to any examination whether before, during, or after the examination. The decision of the Executive Council in all such
cases shall be final and binding.
14. Benchmark disability (Blind, low vision. MR with cerebral palsy, deaf & dumb, physically handicapped etc.) candidate with supporting documents from
competent authority will be allowed to have a writer to assist in writing (qualification of writer should be below the educator level of the candidate). The
candidate will be given 30/15 minutes extra time for each examination (more than 50/upto 50 marks) paper. However prior-permission shall have to be
obtained from Head of the Institution (HOI)/Head of the Department (HOD), BU, concerned & HOVHOD are instructed to inform Controller of
Examinations, BU well ahead.
