shown below. Evaluate  3dV . Ans = 16pi
EXAMPLE 6: Given S is the portion of paraboloid x = 4 − x2 − y 2 with x  0 . Evaluate  4 yz dV .
EXAMPLE 7: Use cylindrical coordinate to evaluate S 2xz dV where S is the solid region
bounded by the surface of cylinder, x2 + z 2 = 9 , the plane y=2 and the paraboloid y = 18 − x2 − z 2
as shown below: Ans = 0
EXAMPLE 8: Use cylindrical coordinate to evaluate  ydV where S is the solid region bounded

by the surface of paraboloids y = 8 − x2 − z 2 and y = x2 + z 2 as shown in below: Ans = 64pi


EXAMPLE 9: Use cylindrical coordinate to evaluate  2xz dV where S is the solid region
bounded by the surface of paraboloid y = x2 + z 2 and the plane y = 4 in the first octant as shown
in Figure 1 below: Ans = 16/3
FEBRUARY 2022: Use cylindrical coordinates to evaluate  3dV where Q bounded by

paraboloid z = 2 − x2 − y 2 and the cone z = x2 + y 2 . Ans = 5pi/2


DECEMBER 2019: Use cylindrical coordinates to evaluate  4 x2 + 4 y 2 dV where Q is a solid
