As a goal-oriented individual, I have constantly strived to achieve my objectives, adopting a focused approach
towards my career aspirations. It is my ambition to establish myself firmly in my chosen field by amassing strong
industry acumen and advanced hands-on skills. I want to utilize my capabilities in redefining business concepts
and promote growth and success to any organization that I work with. Naturally, I believe that a specialization
Course will decisively transform my professional goals into reality and help me secure a rewarding career ahead.
I am glad to introduce myself as Kapil Sharma an Indian Student. Here, I am submitting statement of purpose,
explains why I am applying for Post Degree Diploma program in Business and Project Management from
Canada.

Moving on to my academic details, I did my Senior Secondary in Science Stream Under Punjab School education
board with 68% in year 2010. After Senior Secondary, I have completed my Bachelor of Technology (Electronics
and Communication engineering) from Lovely professional University with 5.5 CGPA in year 2017. Following, I
have Completed my Master of Business administration in Marketing Management Stream under IEC University,
Himachal Pradesh with 63%in year 2019.

After Completion of higher studies, I opted job in HDFC life bank as Sale Development Manager in December
2021. I believe that I possess good leadership qualities and problem-solving skills. However, during my tenure
at Bank, on certain occasions, I thought that I lacked the necessary business sense and managerial abilities to
undertake concrete decisions. It made me conscious, and I realised that my shortcomings could only be fixed
with a sound academic backing. After a detailed discussion with my family members and well-wishers, I felt
that it would be logical to take a detour in my professional journey and obtain with Specialization Program.
Hence, keep this in my mind and to achieve my goal, I first prepared for IELTS from an online platform. When I
began to get a good band score during the mock tests, without a second thought I booked a test date on dated
09-04-2022 and secured an overall of 6.5 (Listening- 7.0, Speaking- 6.0, Reading- 7.0 and Writing-6.0). Now I
have applied for Post degree Diploma of Business and project Management. The proposed program that I
have applied for at Vancouver Community College perfectly meets my career objectives and academic
requirements.

Initially, I started looking for the best available option in my home country and found that my desire course
only available at MIT School of Management, Amity University, NITIE Mumbai and IIM etc., no other course is
available in India to grasp all the essential skills towards the field of management and securing admission to
these universities and Colleges requires CAT score. I don’t think so I am ready to score better in the said exam,
I would be required of very long-time duration to get ready for the specified exam. So, I shifted my focus towards
findingsome suitable study options to me in abroad.

I’ve gone through a lot of research work before finalizing Canada as my educational destination. While going
through so many websites I found that the quality of education is very high compared to other countries. There
are huge options of colleges offering courses of my choice in Canada. Moreover, Canadian Institutes emphasis
more to develop the skills of the students. The co-operative work process enables the students to grab a job in
their respective fields so that they can gain experience while doing the course. Students get enough confidence
before they enter the professional world. Apart from this, tuition fee charges are one of the prime factors when
selecting a country for further education. However, Canadian universities offer very reasonable tuition fee
charges as compared to other international destinations. Students who have good academic scores can also
apply for scholarships to meet up their expenses. While doing some research work on tuition fees in Canada
with other countries I’ve come up with the following comparison and noticed that expenses on education/living
costs: Tuition Fee and Living expenses Canada CA$ 14,000 to CAD 20,000 CA$ 2,611/month -Australia AU$
19,890 to AUD 37,890 AU$ 1,400-2,500/month- USA US $ 25,810 (min) US$10,000-18,000/month- U.K. 16,350
GBP to 30,000 GBP 500 GBP- 700GBP. From the above comparison, Canada was the best option for me in terms
of financial requirements and return on investment on my studies. Apart from this, Canada is considered the
6the peaceful and safe country according to the Global Peace Index. International students can enjoy the same
life as the natives. Canada welcomes students from across the world maintaining a warm friendly atmosphere.
Thus, every year the percentage of students is increasing, who want to go to Canada for pursuing their studies.
In the same way, as a student, I’ve also decided to choose Canada for further education.

It was quite difficult to pick the right college, scanning the long list of world-ranking institutes in Canada. I am
glad that eventually, I found Vancouver Community College apt for me, after scanning numerous positive
reviews about it online and from some of my mentors and peers. What impressed me about this College is that
it is known for its academic excellence especially in terms of programs pertaining to management, business,
and technology. I also came to know about its excellent faculty, great campus settings, world-class learning
facilities and students’ friendly environs. All these elements will give me a holistic academic experience. It is
top and fastest growing college which provide ample opportunities to boost one’s innovative ideas. Apart from
this, this university has got of student across the globe which will allow me to explore new things while studying
with them. Moreover, it gives training and specialization in certain skill which are the gate pass to get job
placement in India.

The Post-Degree Diploma in Business and Project Management program at Vancouver Community College has
a comprehensive curriculum that comprises all the topics of my interest. These include Business
communication, Fundamentals of Marketing, international business management, decision making,
managerial economics and ethics and strategic management, to name a few. Studying this course will further
enhance my capabilities in applying business theories in the work environment and analyse business issues
globally which will lead to my career progression in the management field. This will further teach me the theory
of effective practice and equip me with the essential skills, confidence, and competence to assist me when I
venture into my chosen industry. These learning modules largely focus on strengthening the foundation of
Project and Business management and developing analytical abilities and problem-solving skills within the
students. This, in a way, will boost my discernment, helping me gain business expertise. On completing the
course, I will be well-poised to deal with challenges as faced in real-world professional scenarios.

After finishing the program, I expect to have acquired Business and Project management expertise. I will return
to India and look for job opportunities in my own home country. In India, there is a huge demand for
management professionals who are backed with an international qualification. I am confident that the
advanced program will effectively provide me with a valuable and enriching experience. Altogether, it will shape
me into a better person and competent professional in the future. As I will be acquainted with effective business
management skills along with exclusive project management techniques, I can easily start my professional
career as a Business Manager or Financial/Sales Managers, Project Manager and come up with some creative
ways to develop the business. There is no upper limit set for the salary bar and a person can earn substantial
income while working at these designations. According to payscale.com, I can easily earn around INR 6,00,000-
8,00,000 per annum. It varies company to company and their work responsibilities. As Business belongs to
diverse category, thus, there are so many companies where I can find work and is not limited to a single sector.

higher studies in Canada. Also, they have paid 20,800 CAD as my tuition fees and 10,000 CAD as GIC to cover
my living expenses. I am grateful to have my family members who have always supported me in my decisions.
