Concept review deliverables and guidelines


The drawing panels are expected to be submitted on the telegram group untill
Thursday night (9:00 PM). The presentation will be conducted on friday from 9:00
am onwards.

Submittals are:
1) Drawing pannels
Please note that the major evaluation criteria for the intermediate will include:
- Site analysis
- Concept
- Response to Site context
- Functional configuration
- Formal and Spatial quality
- Site layout and Landscaping
- Graphical and oral presentation
- Model quality
- General structural concept

Remarks on presentation:
- You will have 10 minutes to present your project
- Take time to prepare the oral presentation
- Start with introducing yourself and give the audience an overview of what the
project is
- Speak loud and look at the audience
- Use notes to present important points
- Attending juries of your colleagues is mandatory

Illustrations Showing different space qualities

- Vertical (escalators, lifts, ramps, and stairs)

- Entrances, Exits, Pathways, loading unloading, Parking Units, Checkpoints,
management systems
• Sustainable Features
- Sustainable space design details
- Vertical Greenery elements, Roof Gardens.
- Energy conservation and generation mechanisms (solar panels, wind turbines
...)
- Natural lighting and ventilation systems
- Rainwater harvesting and collection systems
• Security
- Checkpoints
- Control Rooms
• Fire and Emergency
- Evacuations systems

C. Location & Site plan (Scale 1:1000 & 1:500) with proper northing and legend
Drawings must show the following:
• Building outline(s) + location
• blocks with major programs
• Site Utility and infrastructure
• Site Circulation
• Building Entry and Access
• Roads & driveways (in site and around the boundary)
• Parking locations
• Drop-off, Loading, unloading, dock etc. location

D. Architectural Floor Plans (Scale 1:200 for all plans)


Drawings must show the following:
• Ground floor plans must include the surrounding site features
• Entry areas must be labeled with their proper destination
• Basement plans drawings must show surrounding infrastructure lines
• All atrium, open downs, and void spaces must be labeled and clearly
visible
• All rooms Tagged with proper name, area, and reference number
• All Internal partitions located, drawn, and located and dimensioned
• All equipment and furniture called out on plans
• Locate exterior and interior doors and windows
• Building cores / Callout plan of the core system
• Plans and elevations of feature areas (lobby, special spaces) drawn to a
larger scale (Scale 1:50 or larger scale) with all surfaces shown and
materials called out and keyed to larger plans
• All keyed references: match lines, building sections, enlarged plans, etc.
keyed notes

E. Building Elevations (Scale 1:200)


Drawings must show the following:
• All exterior windows and doors should be visible
• Identify floor levels, vertical dimensions, and overall building heights
• Column centerlines
• All materials noted; demarcation of materials shown
• Detailed elevations at a larger scale as necessary to explain the intent (Building
entrance, Special envelope/ Facade, etc.)
• Entourage for visual scale

F. Building Sections (Scale 1:200)


Drawings must show the following:
• Show all spaces with vertical circulation with their proper elevation height
• Use call outs and larger scale drawings for spaces with unique space character
Vertically (auditorium, hall, atrium, double story units, etc.…)
• Include major building sections, identify column lines, feature openings and
relationships between floors, ceilings, structure
• Vertical dimensions including floor to floor and ceiling heights
• Finished grades around the building

G. 3D renderings
Provide the following:
• Exterior 3D renderings showing all corners
• Interior 3D renderings showing important spaces
• Human eye elevation renderings showing the public experience

H. Structural System
• general Structural Concept
• Case Study

2. Physical model
Building Model (Scale 1:500)
- Topography and natural features
- Massing of the surrounding buildings
- Roads and transportation systems
- Entourages
- Elevation differences and entries must be clearly visible
- Building characters must be visible
