Improved Terminal Chart Selection and Navigation

Selecting Charts for Your Flight

• New in FliteDeck Pro 2.1, multiple charts can be selected
and are displayed in the Selected Charts Bar for easy
access.
• Ability to tap a chart type button to display the chart list.
• Ability to preview the chart prior to selection by tapping on
the chart title.
• Ability to select a chart by tapping the chart selector button
to add a check mark and add it to the Selected Charts Bar.
• Once selected, whenever that chart type button is tapped,
the last viewed, selected chart from that category displays.

Navigating Between Selected Charts

• Selected Charts Bar at the bottom of the chart display
window displays a pagination dot for each selected chart.
• Ability to use two-finger swipe to navigate between
selected charts.

Enhancements in Enroute View

Adding Multiple Alternate Airports

Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro now supports your need to add multiple
alternate airports into your route. To add alternates, enter the
four-letter ICAO identifier or city name in the Alternate
Airports field, and then tap the space bar on the keyboard to
delineate between each alternate. After you finish adding them,
the alternate airports are highlighted on the map.

Enhancements in Enroute View

Distance Measuring Tool and the Offset

Indicator
The new distance measuring tool is a set of rings or arcs that
provide constant awareness of your distance to features on the
map at a glance.

To show and hide the distance measuring tool, you tap the Range
Rings button.

To determine the distance and direction from your aircraft to any

other object on the map, you can tap the Range Rings button and
then:

• Pan the map so that the map object in question is in the

center of the inner range ring. A magenta offset indicator
appears which shows the distance and direction to your
aircraft position.

Saving Flight Information

New in FliteDeck Pro 2.1, any route can be saved as long as it has
at least one airport (origin, destination, or alternate). Saved flights
include the route definition and any terminal charts you have
selected for the flight. The flight is named using the origin and
destination airports, and there is no limitation to how many routes
you can save.

To save your flight, tap the Save button in the Route Drawer.

Viewing and Loading Saved Flights

To view and load a saved flight, tap the Flights button in the
Route Drawer. Tap the Load button next to the desired flight.

Enhanced Toolbar Data

Viewing New GPS Status Information

The GPS Status button now includes:

• Ground Speed.
• GPS Altitude.
• Coordinates for the Last Position Received, including date
and time received.
• GPS Accuracy information.

NOTE The GPS Status button appears on the toolbar only when
Enable Moving Map or either one of the Display Ownship settings in
the JeppFD-Pro global settings are set to ON. Displaying ownship
may not be approved for use in your operation. See your company
policies for specific settings.

Viewing New Settings Data

The Settings popover, now includes two new options:

• Show or hide the terrain legend on the enroute map.

• Enable or disable the automatic switch to an airport diagram
upon landing.

Switching to an Airport Diagram Upon

Landing
So that you spend less time interacting with the application, and
more time operating your aircraft, once switched ON the new
Show Taxi On Landing functionality automatically displays the
airport diagram once you’ve landed.

This functionality is based on the speed threshold that you specify

in JeppFD-Pro global settings and the minimum GPS accuracy
requirement must be met.

Enhanced Custom Keyboard

The New Custom Keyboard

The custom key board includes a night theme designed for best
viewing in low-light conditions. It also includes numerals and
letters on the same keyboard, so no switching back and forth as
you enter route string information.
