form these tractors are also on the rise.
India contributes approximately 7.3% to
global emissions, with transportations and
agriculture accounting for 8.36%
respectively. This underscores the urgent
need for india to transition towards
electrification of tractors and adopt
advance agriculture technologies to
mitigate these emissions .Despite
significant progress in electrifying other

market share of the top vehicle categories,

in the April 2023- March2024 period in the
indian electric vehicle (EV) space.

sales trends :
vehicle category wise EV sales : the
cumulative EV sales in India reached
41,35,077 units by the end , Annual EV
sales crossed 1.7 million vehicles with
more than 55% of the share
accountant for by registered electric
two wheelers, followed by passenger
electric three wheelers with 32%
market share.
state wise EV sales : Uttar pradesh,
Maharashtra, kolkata, Delhi, Rajasthan,
accounting for more than 50% of the
market share between 2014 and 2023.

Electric Cars (E-cars) : On a yearly
basis, e cars sales registered an
increase of more than 80% in 2024 over
2023 sales Tata motors was the top E
car player accounting for more than
65% of market share followed by MG
Motor with 13% of the market share.
Elecric buses (E-buses) : On an annual
basis, E bus sales witnessed a jump of
84% in 2024 over 2023 Tata motors,
JBM auto and Olectra Greentech were
the top three E bus players accounting
for more than 75% of market share in E
bus category.
Battery Packs : The report covers the
