Every child is an artist. The problem is how to continue to be artists as

you grow up, "said Pablo Picasso. To understand this, it is enough to
look at children who are capable of taking a pencil and scribbling on a
sheet of paper long before they can speak: from this point of view, art is
synonymous with creativity, therefore, it is important both for the
development of skills and knowledge, as well as for implementing
learning and experience.

Art is closely related to human nature. The different forms of artistic

representation correspond to the need or, rather, to the fundamental
characteristic of expressing themselves that human beings possess. Art
plays a mediating role and a driving force in communication, since the
artist through his creation transmits not only emotions, but also
messages, and makes us reflect on our existence, social problems or
life in general. From this perspective, it becomes a tool that can change
or educate a society.

As therapy, art can bring peace, happiness, love, hope to human

beings: for example, in situations where people need to listen to music
to heal their sadness, watch theatrical comedies to laugh, watch movies
to dream or just for fun , learn to know the past or contemplate artistic
works to appreciate their beauty.

Art is the reflection of human culture, that is why it serves to preserve

the cultural heritage of a people and transmit it from generation to
generation. In addition, it is subjective, it is expressed in a universal and
understandable language for any human being, since it appeals to our
senses, emotions and the ability to think. Education, today, is still based
on artistic works of the past, because these - in their different
manifestations - have never lost their importance for society.

R c ai i g:
Cave painting is essentially a prehistoric expression, it can be located in
almost all periods of human history and on all continents, except
Antarctica. The oldest and most important manifestations are found in
Spain and France. They correspond to the transition period from
Paleolithic to Neolithic.

These paintings and the other associated manifestations reveal that the
human being, from prehistoric times, organized a system of artistic
representation. It is believed, in general, that it is related to
magical-religious practices to promote hunting.

Dance has been part of the lives of men since the beginning of
Humanity. Dancing is good for everyone, and especially for children,
not only because they have fun but also because it helps them in their
bodily development, helps to strengthen laterality, coordination, and
facilitates learning rhythm through movement.

Begi i g:
The first part will work on basic notions of dance with the children from
natural sounds. This will be a moment of sensitive audio stimulation.
Children sitting in a circle with their eyes closed will be allowed to hear
different sounds of nature such as wind, rain, thunder, ocean waves, a
howling wolf, hyenas, a dolphin. Then they will be asked to open their
eyes and raise their hands to mention what sounds they recognized.

Then the children will be explained the effects that formerly caused all
these sounds in the human being, asking for the rain to fall or for the
thunder to calm down.

After this explanation, music of different rhythms that have natural

effects of rain, thunder, and sea will be played and the children will be
told to spread throughout the space listening to the melodies and
creating movements from the emotions that they inspire.

Children are told to create a rhythmic sequence using body loudness,

clapping, stamping feet, and using their voice.

In the process they must use displacements, at least 4 sequences of 8

times and choose a name for the group.

The teacher will play different types of tribal music and the children will
be told to create movements that represent natural events such as rain,
thunder,
At the end, a sequence of 5 movements will have been created that
represent natural events.

It is the art of pasting paper one over the other, trying to create new
figures from others that already exist. Different types of paper can be
used, such as newspapers, magazines, gift papers, colored papers,
recycled paper etc.

For psychology, identity is a basic need of the human being in order to

answer the question who am I?

Identities are the characteristics of an individual that make him or her

unique and, therefore, different from others. The sociocultural context in
which the child is found is of great importance for the formation of her
identity.

Each child will be able to know their roots and give it value, at the same
time that they begin to build their own personality.
This project aims to know her tastes and preferences, feed her feeling
of belonging and personal value, and encourage her ability to make
decisions and respect others and their opinions.

The word collage is of French origin ( collar: paste). It was in France at

the beginning of the 20th century when it evolved to become an artistic
technique compatible with painting and sculpture.Any material glued on
a support is considered a collage.
P ce :

Each child will be given a sheet with the following questions:

When the children are done answering the questions, brainstorm their
answers, then they will be told to create a collage that is about them.

What makes you happy?

Where do you like to go on vacation?
What is your favorite animal?
What makes you sad?
What's your favorite color?
What do you like to do with your family?

Pencils
Newspaper
Glue (white and stick)
Watercolors
Paint brush
Wrapping papers
Recycling papers
Colored papers

P ce :
Give children different magazines,colored papers,newspapers
etc. to pick pages with different colors on them.
Once their pages have been chosen, the children must choose
what they want to express in their collage about them and must
choose some figures and cut the leaves into different shapes and
sizes.
Then with the pencil, draw some lines on the white paper this
allows them to distribute the space according to the design they
will make in the collage
Once the lines have been drawn, start to glue the different pieces
with the glue, trying to create new images in your collage.
Children can use newspaper for the bottom of their collalle and
then cover some areas of it with watercolors.

One of the most used therapies for children is music therapy; It is based
on using elements such as sound, rhythm, harmony and melody in order
for children to develop and facilitate their interpersonal and social
communication. Through music therapy, body expression, learning,
concentration, physical movement, confidence, self-esteem and mental
and emotional development are promoted.

Ac i i ie :

Music and Silence:

Explain to the children they have to move and when the music
stops, they have to freeze( The teacher has to prepare with
different kinds of music). When the teacher starts the music, the
children have to do free, spontaneous movements that come to
their mind. When the music stops, the children have to freeze and
stay in the same position they were in. This activity allows children
to have better body control.
Rolling, March and Jump:

From free movements of the children, the teacher observes and

comments on the three different body movements: roll on the
ground, march and jump. When the intensity of the music is soft,
the children have to do movements on the floor like rolling,
dragging etc. When the music intensity is medium, the children
have to do the movements standing on their feet like sliding,
balancing the body, marching or walking. When the intensity of
the music is high, the children will have to do movement in the air
like jumping, standing on their tip toes etc.

Teachers should be prepared with music mixed with different

rhythms. If the teacher prefers, he/she can use a drum for
rhythms. It will depend on the children s ages. The pedagogical
orientation in this activity is to allow the children to relate
intensity of strong, medium and soft music to the body
movements.
Color Coordination:

A circuit is prepared with colored rings placed on the class floor.

The teacher determines with the children some body slogans that
they have to execute according to the color of the hoop they see.
For example, when you see a red hoop, you have to move
towards it jumping with your feet together. When you find a blue
hoop, you have to walk back. To get to the green hoop, you have
to jump on one foot and for yellow hoop you have to walk with
your hands on the ground.

The activity will begin with the hoops spread on the ground with
the colors distributed and clustered. The teacher has to start the
music and the children will start dancing around the hoops. When
the music stops, the teacher will announce the color and the
children have to remember the movement associated with that
color and have to perform that movement while going inside the
hula hoop. The children that identify the correct movement and
reach the hula hoop first will be given a point and the rest of them
have to wait for the next turn. If the child reaches the hula hoop
first but with incorrect movement, the teacher can award that point
to the other child that was doing the correct movement. The
winner will be the child with the most points.

The body expression within dance is to express yourself freely with your
own emotions. The dance allows communication through body
movements and facial expressions. For the children, dance is not
restricted by a technique. They express it through their emotions.

The teacher will start the music and tell the children to use only one part
of their body like only arms or legs. The teacher will then ask the
children to use their imagination and pretend to be different kinds of
animals in different moods e.g a sad butterfly or a happy bird or an
angry lion. This will allow the children to see in the mirror how the
feelings affect the movement of the body. The is called body
expression.(When the feeling is connected with movement, the body
expresses)

Ac e :

Make a circle and call a child inside of the circle. Start the music and let
him/her express their emotions through their movements e.g if they are
feeling happy, sad, excited or angry. Let the other children in the circle
recognize the kind of the feeling that child is expressing.( The children
will raise hands and the teacher will choose one of them to speak).

T e da A C a :
S f e Pa adi e (I iai ):

Flowers in all kinds of varieties are an endless source of inspiration.

The children will have a natural connection with the flowers because of
their shapes and colors. How the children create beautiful works of
flower art from their little experience and creativity? This project will
allow them to create art from observation and their feelings.

Ma e ia :
Card paper (black color)
White crayon
Acrylic paint (green, yellow, brown, orange, red)
Spatula

P ce :

Draw circles in different sides on the black card paper with the
white crayon. With the spatula, use the yellow acrylic paint and
stamp the spatula on the black card paper around the circle to
make petals. Use as many times you need to make a heavy paint
stamp to make the petals all around the circle. Now do the same
with the orange paint and stamp it inside the yellow petals. When
you are done leave it to dry. Be careful, you don't want the petals
to lose their shape.

Cover the whole background with heavy acrylic paint but be

careful don't cover your beautiful yellow petals.

Then, cover the circle inside the petals with brown color paint. Be
careful not to cover the petals with the brown paint. And your
beautiful painting is done.
