YEAR 7 TECHNICAL SKILL 8
In this lesson, you will learn about present, past, and future tenses. You will
also learn about main verbs and helping verbs, which are useful when
conjugating (forming) verbs for different tenses. Finally, you will do some

and past participle form.
A verb changes form to show tense and to agree with its subject. The tense
of a verb tells when the action takes place.
The present tense names an action that happens regularly. It is also used to
e
express general truths. In the present tense, the base form of the verb is used,

Conclusion
In this lesson, you learned about past, present, and future tense and how to
identify and form them. You also learned about main verbs (which tell you
about the main action) and helping verbs (which are connected to the main
verb to form a verb phrase). You will understand the purpose of helping
verbs in the next lesson. Lastly, you revised irregular verbs by identifying
how they are used in sentences.
