Rocks : Igneous, Sedimentary, Metamorphic,Theory of Isostasy.

Introduction of Plate tectonics, Sea-floor spreading, Mountain Building Theories(Joly,


Kober , Homes).

Unit IV 9 Hours

Volcanoes and related landforms. Earthquakes and related landforms, Denudation: (i)
Weathering- types and results, (ii) Erosion- concept of cycle of erosion..

Unit V 8 Hours

Agents of erosion- Works of running water, glaciers, wind, waves and underground water
Rejuvenation of landforms, Cycle of Erosion by Davis and Penck.
